The 12 Gauge PDX1 is Winchesters version of "Buck and ball", but a few other people make it. It's not that popular, most people just stick with regular buckshot or slugs.

They're hard to find, but they're out there. A company called Centurion had some on CTD.com but they're no longer available.

I've shot Winchester's PDX. Actually shoots quite well. Cheaper than many of the high-quality slugs. Do you find this valuable?

just bought some slug and buck at the gun show this weekend=) pretty cool. way too damn expensive to buy regularly though. i mixed and matched those and some rock salt shells 8 for twenty bucks. way too much but a few for funzies lol. they had a neat little 50 cal round too for single shooters. (this is an assumption) its an all around shell, if they bad guys close the buckshot (and slug i guess) will hit him, at longer range the slug will, i think it is so you dont have to reload for different ranges

From my understanding, it's a slug shell with a load of buckshot packed behind it. It lets you hit the target at slug range without needing to reload while also giving you the fist-sized spread of buckshot at close range. Not to mention that if you hit the guy with the buckshot, chances are the slug will ALSO hit at close range. That's about as easy as it gets to literally blow a head to chunks.
