numbers messed up?

just noticed right in the beginning, if only 10% of infected survive as zombies, and 90% die, how can 90% of Ohio be infected? wouldn't it be 10%?and for plan C: if you leave one bullet for yourself, instead, use it to be sure the attacking zombie is dead then jump off some cliff or something. either that, or while you still have sanity, bring your supplies to the nearest group of survivors for them to use and have them kill you. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

90% of the survivors would be infected: 90% died, 9% of total (90% of remaining) infected, 1% of total (10% of remaining) human
