Actually you would be very surprised with the amount of people who are what I like to call "closet users".

The demand will always be there but in a lawless society the user would be more prone to just take it by force.

Lol its funny because while everyone in the panic is scrambling for water and food I am sure a group will be looking for sudafed. For the folks in the back of the class its a key ingredient in meth.

Dont attempt to make that sh!t unless you wanna blow your place up.

Out of that list the only one to even possibly consider is weed.

Avoid hallucinogenics, even if your planning on dealing post z-poc, the users could be worse than zeds.

But in small controlled doses, marijuana is good at calming nerves (overdoses only cause paranoia not death), and is relatively lightweight. If you have a better option use it ofcourse. But as a backup incase stress is becoming too much it may be nice to have something to calm people down.

Whatever "law" is left after Zday will have enough on their plate... I doubt recreational drug use will even be a big deal anymore.

Good luck finding the refined stuff like cocaine/heroin or synthetics like LSD/Ketamine though. There aren't too many people in the world who even know how to synthesize acid or mescaline. Maybe a few dozen. Total.

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone here. Harder drugs go to a desperate clientelle population and should be avoided, just say you can't find said item but will keep an eye out because otherwise there's no telling what might happen if they get the chance to do you in. =*_*=

I'd totally scavenge marijuana though, I know plenty of people who use that and seem perfectly fine. Even though highly addicting I think I might even scavenge tobacco for trade as well.... but you'd likely be safer if you were growing it and people knew there would be a steady supply if they keep you alive.

10. "Hemp"

Over years past here at Zombie Wiki we've talked about "drugs". DevilNuts has pegged it about laws and possible restrictions.

I will letcha folks know that growing hemp for everything imaginable and growing more refined "dope" is something that will be needed.

Refining THC into painkillers as well as enjoyed for stress reduction is quite do-able.

Ditch weed grows in all climates but the extremely cold. Grows well with some culture and care.

Indeed "be prepared" to have you and survivors to use homebrew dopes when static supplies run dry.

Refining THC is very unnecessary.

While smoking it is not a good option at all do to the fact that inhaling the byproduct, although it has no links to causing lung cancer, can and does cause symptoms similar to bronchitis such as a prolonged cough with secretions for a heavy smoker, and decreasing your total lung capacity.

The easier solution without having to be a chemist would be to just eat it. It is absorbed slower and lasts longer as it passes through you entire GI system.

I do not recommend any of it there are far easier ways to deal with stress but if I only did one it would just be hemp/herb.

Growing hemp will supply you with the raw material to make everything from clothes to plastics. The oil that can be extracted from the seeds is proven to have more proteins and amino acids than soy. So yea it would have alot of uses and another benefit of hemp is that hemp deters the growth of other weeds in the area so it would aid you when it comes to tending to a garden.

Indeed, while I'm certainly not advocating this for anybody, ever, Papaver somniferum is an extremely extractive... err, I mean attractive... flower to have in any garden, and the seeds are particularly tasty on muffins. Conincidentally, I might grow some in the garden next spring. Do you find this valuable?

Additionally, I'd like to indicate that morphine is a very valuable medicine that is commonly used to treat all sorts of pains in hospitals.

I want to make it very clear that I am in no way suggesting that anybody should grow poppy with the intent of refining, distributing, selling, or even possessing raw opium. That would be illegal. However, the flowers are VERY beautiful and the seeds can be used to make a very healthy edible oil.

hey you guys might be surprised what people will do for their vices even in a survival situation.

a friend on another forum told me about a time when a tornado came through his town and pulled the roof off of his house. he couldnt get anyone to come over to his house and put a roof on. he offered to pay in cash on sight, and over pay for the repair. they all said they were too busy. so then he offered them cash plus cold beer for their crew. there still wasnt any electricity in town, he had a gas generator, a fridge and lots of cold beer.

they were there the next day putting on a roof

weed's fine the only problem is if you smoke it to much it can rewire your brain to have no drive. No drive or will to get things done aka laziness can be a killer in post z-day. I'm not going to say that weed is addicting but if you take it to much it can be. Anything can be addicting if you take it to much even advil. Do you find this valuable?
