Gunter Air force Base Montgomery

My father and older brother work at Gunter Air force Base in Montgomery Alabama. In normal cases should America be attacked by a foreign country/terrorists, all the civilians would get the boot in order to keep them off a potential battle ground and keep out potential spies/traitors/terrorists/weirdos. But in a scenario were the Civilian population can become converted into enemy units they have began allowing civilians in to protect them from harm. Being an insider, I know how to get in and all it takes are these simple steps (make note this is fictional, I am not even sure the military would even allow me in should such a scenario arise):

1. First approach the entrance and stop approximately 20 feet away, letting the sentries know you are there.

2. To prove you are a human turn on a flashlight and signal the sentries. (do this quickly if you just stand around you might be mistaken for a zombie and shot.)

3. Once given the all clear approach the sentries, you be searched for bites and signs of common illnesses. All people who are sick, or have zombie bites will be sent to quarantine. Those with zombie bites will be given three options:
A. Live out the last of your life in a special cell in quarantine, it will be made comfortable and you can volunteer for medical experimentation (a small chance you could be cured)
B. Be executed on the spot. (if you don't want to die a zombie)
C. We let you loose in the armory where you can select any nonstandard weapon you want. We then let you out the gate where you can die in a blaze of glory...

4. Those who are sick will be sent to a block in quarantine where they will receive medical treatment and upon recovery you will be release.

Gunter features the following facilities: An armory, an Airfield for quick evacuation, barracks, mess hall, commissary(store), hospital, and the block house. The block house is a fortified building that can withstand nukes

AFB, Army Posts, MC bases (whatever they're called, I'm former Army, I don't know MC stuff), Naval Centers, they're not exactly the best places to go unless you're military personnel, even then will anything be left there for you to take?

Plus, not exactly the best defenses around, hell, where I went to basic the only thing separating you from the rest of the outside world was a 12' high chain link fence with ribbon wire on it. I wouldn't exactly call that zombie proof.

I your probably right. I bet there could be a few planes and helicopters leftover. Should the base be abandoned I think anyone who knew how to pilot them could snag one of those if the base isn't too full of zombies. lol I guess that has done in any plans to use a military base as a safe haven.
