Plainly, Welding takes HUGE amounts of electricity, not to mention user knowhow, primary, secondary and ancillary materials.
As a professional welder, I have worked in the field before with stick (And shame on you for decrying the term. It is widely called that across the CSA). I know how to weld, so don't tell me. Tell them. If they wanted to know what welding was, they'd have gone to wikipedia, or gone and picked up a copy of modern welding.
