Despite being almost adequate as an explanation as to WHAT welding is, This page is shamefully useless at instructing individuals HOW to weld, and more importantly how it would apply in a world transversed by the undead. Plainly, Welding takes HUGE amounts of electricity, not to mention user knowhow, primary, secondary and ancillary materials. As a professional welder, I have worked in the field before with stick (And shame on you for decrying the term. It is widely called that across the CSA). I know how to weld, so don't tell me. Tell them. If they wanted to know what welding was, they'd have gone to wikipedia, or gone and picked up a copy of modern welding. Good effort, but lack of polish 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

The two of you could have worked on a masterpiece together. Less hate more love. Do you find this valuable? |

I've finished work on this page and I invite feedback.Even though GlassChicken hasn't posted since December I will address his comments for the benefit of other members At the time you read it the page was incomplete, I am currently attending Ferris State University for my bachelors degree in Welding Engineering Technology. and before you get some silly idea in your head, Yes, I weld every single day, to higher standards than most production welders. I decry that term because it is incorrect , even the American Welding Society says so "stick welding - a nonstandard term for SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING" just like MIG or HeliArc are both incorrect. Now I realize that this is missing quite a bit of information, there are two reasons for that. 1.There is only so much you can learn about welding without actually trying to weld. Becoming a great welder takes type and practice in addition to knowledge. 2. The guide isn't finished yet. Do you find this valuable? |
