my plan is to go to 16 acres of land that my Pagan Group and i have between all of us, there are several different talents arranged throughout our particular group. our plan is hold our 16 acres and start up a pagan village, a place of our own where we are not bound by the popular judeo-christian ideals. game is plentiful and there is a natural spring from off site pumping fresh water to a pond on the back of the land. after the panic our goal is to send out securing teams to the local lake and resvoir to clear the land and start another settlement on the island in the middle of the lake. there are several islands in this lake and we intend on island hopping and building our community. this plan is much more detailed than what i have posted but the "plan" is set for a course of over 15 years, that will have been enough time for the older generation to teach what they can and the adult generations to have had a few more kids and the younger kids will be reaching an age where they can take over and produce children. to continue the existence and such. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. well see its all about giving people fair warning. if there are christians, muslims, etc etc we dont rightly care, however, we do not wish to be persecuted as im sure you even know, that as many good christians and other people of faith there are, they have at least twice their number as religious extremists who will use the SHTF scenario to impose their beliefs on others.so it will benefit us to know that if there are survivors coming who are of other fiaths that they understand that we are a majorit pagan. as such, it will have a live and let live policy within our community. "far too often do i see that faith, when it is supposed to be the humanizing element to our existence ,does the opposite, and removes all forms of humanity. father will turn upon son and brother upon brother in the name of gods and ideals. i do hope that one day people of all faiths can and will be united in the struggle for humanity." something my grand dad told me when he passedon, during a time in which i was persecuted in my belief of the old gods he didnt care so long as i was a decent human being.

I think one of the major problems I see with this is that most people are fanatics about their chosen religion. It's not just Christians or Muslims or Mormon....I've more than a few wild eyed crystal waving pagans who wanted to "be rid of" all the Christians. If you make a big deal about religion in you little colony it's just going to cause trouble in one form or another.
I know someone going is going to find this offensive...however. To much religion turns your brains to mush and makes perfectly good and moral people make horrible decisions

In my experiance, the "crystal wavers" are usually Wiccans trying to pull off the "oh-woe-as-me" crap because their teachings teach of the Burning Times. I was one of them until I realized my head was lodged up my own *** and I opened my eyes to the big picture. Most respectable pagans don't push their beliefs and tolerate other beliefs just as they are tolerated.

it will cause no trouble so long as everyone respects each other as humans.
that is the basis for most pagan beliefs or at least its supposed to be. humanity is a common theme, as well as respect for our earth, the gods and the spirits who guard her. and as many "wild eyed crystal waving" pagans as i have met i have met thrice their number in christians, and muslims. i say those two because i have yet to meet any jews with a scorched earth policy on other faith. and well do i really have to elaborate on the multitudes of other world religions?

Pagans did not span the globe trying to convert everyone they met to their faith. True pagans, now mind you "pagan" is a broad term, there are different branches and sub faiths, but True Pagans are not hell bent on destroying other humans or their faith simply to prove we are dominant, that goes against just about every teaching in our faiths. also before you criticize any "wild eyed, crystal waving" pagans please understand that although i look upon them in a light somewhat akin to pity, our faith (excluding wicca) has been oppressed and stomped upon by the majority of the monotheistic religions. i have a good many christian freinds, and the reason they are so is because they take the time to understand and befriend us. i will put no one to the sword who does not deserve it. "swift unthinking justice only begets the deaths of the innocent and the tears of the wronged" and i have it in good faith they wouldnt either.
and in all seriousness there was a time when christians were called "Pagani"
which mean country folk, or common man. which just brings it around that it is Faith tempered with education will actually serve a greater purpose than blind faith, or fanaticism.

I honestly do not care what a person believes. I am a christian but that is me not someone else. Do what makes you happy, I would not share my beliefs with someone unless they inquired for info and I expect the same you know what I mean. Do you find this valuable?

I found in my heart that to truly be a follower of Christ you MUST be able to be tolerant of others. While Christ walked the earth he never forced anyone to follow him, they chose to on their accord. I feel that way about any choice anyone makes with their life. I am not anyone special so why should I judge, after all I have made my own share of mistakes in my life.

and btw if you REALLY want an unsegregated kind of camp
found an agnostic community

i mean im agnostic
its not like any organized religion (or antireligion - atheist, nihilist, etc.) we just simply DONT KNOW
if there was a general consensus of agnostics im sure we'd probably be the most "welcoming" of all "-isms"
i think mainly cuz you cant really be an "extremist" agnostic
unless your a sociopath

[bursts into a church/synagogue/mosque/temple] "THERE ISNT NO GOD BUT YOU DONT HAVE PROOF THERE IS SO WE DONT KNOW NO ONE KNOWS"
[runs up and down the aisles] "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

a man has to have faith in something. you would be suprised how much we still are persecuted in todays society for our ideals. i do not care one way or the other. and we dont inquire as to your beliefs but i think its important for people to know what a vast majority of the folks there would be so that way there isnt a big issue on culture shock, and that gies those who would seek to persecute us a chance to decide to leave or stay.
