Florida Group Meetup Zone

I Suggest we all meet at Downtown D-World, or Universal, Then, once we're all grouped up, decide where to go from then on. The reason why I chose these places was that, even though they are densely populated, everyone knows where they are, and as such, are easy to get to! Also, RSVP to lolzeeeeh@gmail.com, when I get there I will do roll call, if you aren't there, you will be assumed dead, or reanimated. I will specify a time for meetup when the first signs of the apocalypse appear, We will wait 2 Hours for everyone to show up, so bring your best guns, lots of gas/food/water, and your trigger finger, and lets survive! I look forward to seeing all of my fellow floridians there! I will reveal my plan when we get there, Everyone thats not hostile is invited!

First and foremost...the State of Florida is a peninsula...meaning the only escape route is north UNLESS we have access to a vessel with some type of survival capabilities...those in the keys and in south Florida need to head head to Miami and meet up. Then there needs to be a convoy to Orlando. Once in Orlando I can lead us to places necessary to get vehicles, fuel, ammo, firearms, survival gear, fresh water and gear...then we need to figure out where we are going to go and who we are going to meet up with along the way...I can go way into depth, but you have to keep in mind we will have limited supplies and need to take advantage of EVERY opportunity we come across unless there is overwhelming danger...if you are interested in what I have to say hit me up...but I can say this, with or without anyone I will be just fine...hehe

To purposefully head to someplace that is, basically, assured to have a crap-ton'a zeds. You'd be better off picking someplace in the middle of the state, in the middle of a sparsely populated area. Florida's only like 100 miles wide. Someplace in center, more people can get to. Also, and I'm not trying to attack you man. I just want you to look at your plan from all angles, make it as good as possible. Also, why would you want to invite a bunch of people? Outcome 1) You reveal your Plan to people and guess what... They don't want to do it. The majority of people want to do something else. They take what you and everyone that sided with you had. You now have nothing. You lose. Outcome 2) You're going to specify a meetup time AT THE FIRST SIGNS of the plague. ReRead The Panic portion of this site. You're gonna need to Bug In or Bug Out to your BOL. If your temp BOL is Downtown D-wrld or Universal... good luck with that security nightmare. Theme parks, AREN'T that secure. They're made to LOOK secure, more than actually being secure. Fences are easily scaled, when pain or death isn't an issue. General "rules" are usually BugIn, BugOut and avoid major population centers when possible. As a resident of Orlando for almost 18 years I can provide some good perspective on this.Bugging out to theme parks = bad. We all know exactly what the Panic entails, and this plan suggests attempting to enter an area that thousands of people will be rapidly evacuating? Even if you're able to make it through the inevitable traffic jam down I-4 or the back roads to one of the theme parks or Downtown Disney AND the hundreds of vehicles clogging every road that provides access, will you even be allowed in? I can see Universal security (especially during an event like Halloween Horror Nights or Mardi Gras, which will include police officers) either shutting down the entries into the parking garages or allowing people to evacuate through the entrances. Once you've arrived, congratulations. You've made it into a massive flood of people trying to flee and turning every path into Times Square on New Year's Eve (I've experienced the sidewalk across from Sach's on Christmas Eve, and a whole section of Fifth Avenue turns into a huge logjam almost impossible to escape). People will probably start grabbing whatever they can from the shops, so those are pretty bad meeting places as well. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Just saying im not bashin your Idea but I agree with c795mp and the others there needs to be a meetup for people around some major cities not in just semi near and start convoy pickups around miami and move up the state stopping in predesignated places for a day or so and leaving sign as to where you go so late travelers might find help eventually so miami/ orlando/ daytona should all have evac/convoy meet points we will vote as to what to do but everyone in the groups has to do what is expected also we need to split into smaller groups after a max(lets say a hundred) has been reached to avoid to many people atracting zeds supplies will be split between people evenly to a certain point in otherwords sharing is surviving at a later date when your friend has food an you dont but you have given to them in the past when needed if you need me find my facebook and we can all colaborate in case the worst actually happens we all already have a plan

not to shore about orlando lets try somewhere eltes i'll start looking first i believe we should start with to groups one in south florida ( if you live south of okichobee) we meet lets say a nice spot by the everglades then the north florida group meets in tallahasee then we meet somewhere in between

Personally, I think that one of the best meetup zones as well as for fortification would be one of the sleep away camps around North to Central Florida (Looking for recommendations if anyone has specific locations). I remember going to one or two as a kid and they were off the main roads, had some kind of near water source, cabins that could be strengthened or taken apart to build 1 large fort, and probably even more benefits await in well-picked locations. Any Ideas? :)

lets see so we've got people as far south as orange county and as far north as pensacola so you ask me we should meet kind of dead center at the junction of I75 and I10 west of jacksonville, east of live oak, north of lake city, and south of jasper.because some people including me are planning to go north. Do you find this valuable? |
