Try carrying some bartering items. If you run into a well secured party, they will be more willing to accept you if you can A) Contribute something to the party with your presence (skills, strengths, knowledge) or B) You have something that they want.Being younger should gain sympathy, but your best route is to latch on to some well to do adults and show that you are willing to learn and eager to be productive. Some cooking gear. Ones that you can use for preparing food, or boiling water, but will also fit neatly in a bag.Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I usually picture one of these: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml00/00028.jpg They come in stainless steel too, which I would prefer. Not sure if this constitutes being a bad influence on a minor, but if you need a gun...make one. There is an improvised munitions handbook you can download off the net. It will tell you everything you need to know. HOWEVER, don't make anything in that book unless TSHTF, otherwise you might wind up a guest of your local Correctional Facility. Not a good thing for one so young.

Fact: Gun Control only affects LAW ABIDING CITIZENS. I wish the gun-grabbers here in the US could get that little fact through their Communist skulls.

"Or blow your hand off. "If I am not mistaken, there are armed guards employed by security companies protecting some schools, embassies, etc. If you could make allies by providing the contents of your BOB, you might have a great companion. Providing you speak the naive language fluently or proficiently/ vice versa. Though not everyone can be trusted. I would only recommend this if i firearm is a must. EDIT: I don't realize why I quoted Vance. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Or blow your hand off. "The IMH to which I refer was put out by the Dept of the Army. I would think that, using a modicum of caution and the appropriate materials, anything contained therein would work as designed. Assuming that one can read English, that is. Do you find this valuable? |

"Pinkos?""Pinkos": Communists/Marxists/Leftists/Enemies of God, Freedom, gun rights, the Western way of life, etc. From Wikipedia: Pinko is a term for a person regarded as sympathetic to communism, though not necessarily a Communist Party member. The term has its origins in the notion that pink is a lighter shade of red, the color associated with communism; thus pink could be thought of as a "lighter form of communism" promoted by supporters of socialism who weren't, themselves, "card-carrying" communists. The word pinko was coined by Time magazine in 1925 as a variant on the noun and adjective pink, which had been used along with parlor pink since the beginning of the 20th century to refer to those of leftish sympathies, usually with an implication of "effeteness".[1] In the 1920s, for example, a Wall Street Journal editorial described supporters of the progressive politician Robert La Follette as “visionaries, ne’er do wells, parlor pinks, reds, hyphenates [Americans with divided allegiance], soft handed agriculturalists and working men who have never seen a shovel.”[2] Pinko and pinky were widely used during the Cold War to label individuals accused of supporting the Soviet Union, including many supporters of ex-vice president Henry Wallace's 1948 U.S. presidential campaign with the Progressive Party. The word was predominantly used in the United States, where opposition to Communism grew strong among the population, especially during the McCarthy era. It was also in common use in South Africa during the apartheid era. In his two presidential campaigns, Alabama governor George Wallace often railed at "the left-wing pinko press" and at "pseudo-pinko-intellectuals."[3][4] Do you find this valuable? |
