Best Place for a Saferoom at a BOL

I was wondering what the best place to build a saferoom would be at. Underground near area where I plan to put my storage warehouse, or in the tallest room of the tallest tower kind of thing?

They could have a bazooka or grenade launcher or maybe some sort of aircraft. Do you find this valuable? |

Your best bet would be to hide it somewhere. In my opinion, the tallest tower kind of thing is an outdated idea, with the access some people might have to even simple explosives.I would go for a small tunnel from inside to a hidden exit or something of the like that you could hide in. When night falls or at a time that seems practical, make a break for it. Do you find this valuable? |

"Saferoom for what? What will go in it? What are you needing to protect it from?"The saferoom will be a place in my bol that everyone in the base goes to in a last ditch effort if the base gets overrun by zombies or the government or raiders. Do you find this valuable? |

If you need to, you can get on the roof or exit a window. Underground, you have no way out except the way you came in. Do you find this valuable? |

Connecting tunnels like the viet-con. Why you ask because if you are in a tower all the enemy has to do is set fire to that said tower. If they do it right then your dead.

not the basement, not the tower, just a room near provisions but also with multiple ways out. personally, i'd go second story. short enough to jump out, far enough up to not be reached easily and you also have the option of destroying the steps to prevent enemies reaching you (

I will not have a safe room, but an escape route to a secondary BOL and an escape route to a third BOL. What good is a safe room? If you BOL is over run by zombies or raiders they will have control over you while your in your safe room. They can just wait you out until you starve, or take their time and poison you, or blow the wall of the safe room out. It's a waist of time to spend time creating a safe room, instead your better off using the time and supplies to build a tunnel, or other escape route and set up a second BOL several miles away. Do you find this valuable? |

Secondly, It will have a tunnel connected to the storage area where a secret stash of food and supplies are kept. Then, There is an escape tunnel that only connects the saferoom to an exit far away from the base. Do you find this valuable? |

How are you going to make sure the tunnel doesn't collapse, things such as earthquakes, floods, subsidence, etc? How will you make sure the tunnel is not filled with zombies? Do you find this valuable? |

"How are you going to guard this exit? You don't want to emerge into a pack of zombies.For the Earthquake thing I live in Oregon there are almost never earthquakes. Plus there are ways to make earthquake proof tunnels. It cost a lot though. The emergency exit thing is a tough one. Maybe install some kind of telescopic spy thing. Sorry I don't know what they are called. Do you find this valuable? |

The end of my escape tunnel will not be completely finished, therefore zombies/raiders won't find it. I'll leave 2-3 yards left of digging to do. As for the finding zombies at the end of the tunnel, The best bet would be to have the end of the tunnel somewhere difficult to get to but easy to get away from (like on part of a mountain).
