crew served weapons

Even by the time you reach belt fed, you are moving into what is called crew served weapons. These devices require lots of training, and at least a squad, usually a platoon to carry all the parts and ammo. What on earth, do you plan to do, with a rocket launcher and 1 or 2 rockets? Unless you are traveling with a convoy of 6xbi trucks, or a ship, all this cool stuff won't do you much good. While they would be handy to have in a static armory in your fort, it is out of the question to consider lugging it around by yourself. Not to mention these toys are highly restrictive and usually only available to military units. Fun to think about though. Do you find this valuable?

Belt-fed weapons aren't especially hard to use as long as you have a manual, which this page provides.

As for rockets, they're actually very simple to use when you know how to use them. I personally have memorized the instructions for the LAW, AT4, and M79. I'm not qualified in them, but I know what the controls do and how to use one properly. Should you come across a vehicle full of gun-toting raiders, a rocket to the engine might make them think twice.

And as you'll notice, all of the weapons are listed as being military-only or how you would even be able to get one should you try. This is a "just in case" thing if military grade weapons happen to be found.
