Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on a second. Just because a work of fiction sounds "gay" and doesn't meet your interests doesn't mean that it's a worthless idea. Not every zombie movie needs to be non-stop zombie terror. Lest we forget, half of Shaun of the Dead was a romantic comedy, and yet it's one of the most popular zombie movies ever.

So, humanroach, don't worry about anyone shouting you down. And mods, as long as this thread doesn't turn into people shouting "ghey" at the thought of romance (eeewww!) getting into their zombie fiction, I don't think it deserves to be locked.

Yeah, agreed.

My story has elements of *shudder* romance, but I wonder how it would work as the main plot focus.

I agree. Write on! It will be extremely interesting observing the struggles between a couple in a situation where sanity is a constant struggle. This also hasn't been done in detail, although it was touched with The Walking Dead. Can't wait

*EDIT* Hey, we were just talking about this, I just realized :)

I think girls gotz da cooties. {shudders}

But I'd say go for it man. You know, there actually is a book that I've wanted to read called "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies". I have no idea if this is anything like what you're thinking about.

If you want any input for ideas, I like to throw out ideas. =]

I've read it. Give it a try. It's interesting because its definitely a Pride and Prejudice book more so than a zombie book, but it still works.

Just found something that may pertain to the topic of this thread -- an Australian short film called I Love Sarah Jane, "...a simple story of young love in a zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic world." It stars Mia Wasikowska, the girl from the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland movie. Apparently, the director is now considering turning it into a feature-length film.
