Could you do a seprate chart for running with a pack? Because if you carry a pack with any weight to it, it'll slow you down. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Well, in any case, running flat ground without a pack, I got 9:38. Running uphill with a 15 lbs. pack, I clocked 12:00. I'm 14. Do you find this valuable?

Thats not bad, keep it up! =^_^= As long as you get plenty of water and nutrition and keep a close eye out for injury along the way I'm sure you'll get better at it. Remember to get a full eight hours of sleep too, runners definitely need the time to heal that that provides. =^_^= When your legs start to hurt, don't push them, take a day or two off to rest. Resting is part of training afterall.

I'm a six minute mile myself. I personally like to run over uneven and hilly terrain, I think it keeps the ankles strong but some other runners disagree and say that the chance for injury is too high. Never really tried timing myself on flat ground or with a pack before. =^_^=

Yeah, I don't have an actual "pack" per say, but it's rather just my school backpack with the straps pulled as tightly as possible to prevent bouncing.
@Donovan: Six minutes is insane! I'm actually a diver mainly, so I see running as both useful dryland training and preparation for Z-Day.

That works. =^_^= Just so long as you don't have weight hitting against your back, I used to do that back in the day. I wouldn't really recommend it though.

Mhehehehe, thanks, but the true title of insane rightfully goes to those who can run a mile in five. =^_^;;=

Oh, swimming is cool! That's a great exercise and I don't know anyone who has ever damaged their joints doing it. =^_^= Keep healthy, its useful now and after zombies attack.
