Virginia

I find it sad, how little people here live in Virginia. My meeting point would be the pentagon. I would leave a large forked tree branch in front of the entrance, with a portion of it sticking out one way. To signal that you were there, you would flip it over. I would return, and leave a message under the branch, after of course, flipping it. Do you find this valuable?

I'm in Virginia, but not going anywhere near DC.

I don't want to deal with the remnants of the military, especially at a place like the Pentagon.

IMO, the mountains would be a better option.

I live in VA, but I'm not going to DC ever. Not now, not during a zombie apocalypse. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes, I don't want to deal with military either, but, they'll probably be shut down in their little holes below surface, or out an enforcing the law. Other possibilities are that they were consumed, and locked themselves in, killing the zombies inside, or at least effectively trapping them. And, everyone living in Virginia are going to head to the mountains- it might be a mine place to make camp, but not for rendezvous.

Not necessarily. A lot of people could head to the beaches, and north to D.C.

Plus, that's a big "probably." I don't want to risk running into the remains on the military based on a hunch.

Living in NOVA, I personally wouldn't consider going into DC, as this could possibly be the epicenter of the Zombie invasion, not only that, but probably I-95, 295, 395 would all likely be impassable by car due to thousands of abandoned vehicles. That would be a long and risky hike on foot. There may be massive amounts of Zombies in DC. For a small group it could prove costly. Maybe having a meeting place somewhere along I-95, close to a particular exit ramp, that may be a better plan. Any thoughts?

Williamsburg area, here. DC is the last place I would head to, zombies or not. As waleli stated, the roads up there are $hit now, let alone how bad they would be during a disaster. West on secondary roads would be a much better option. Skyline drive/mountain areas perhaps. Richmond would be another no no. State capital AND murder capital of the state as it is now; would be 10 times worse during a ZED outbreak. And, do you really think you would be able to get into the Pentagon? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
