I'm in no place to criticize this, but i'll give it a go. If you plan to live hunter/gatherer do you have extensive knowledge of plants? Do you know which ones can be used as medicine, which can be eaten and which can't? You'll probably need something to supplement your hunting diet. Along with that, once the Zombies have finished feasting on the people in towns and cities they'll spread out, so you'll have to compete with them for food and land. This doesn't mean I don't like this plan though! :) Do you find this valuable?

"I'm in no place to criticize this, but i'll give it a go.Over the years I've learned which native plants are safe or not. The whole aspect of my primitive hunting is a more traditional and minimalist survival styles so I can pack less and still manage. As for supplementing my hunting diet I haven't had much deep thought on that area just yet. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

The region I live in is mostly farm land, so there is plenty of land to avoid the undead. There are several canyons in the area that can provide shelter in the caves and the hunting shelters people have left in the public lands also provide shelter and a hiding place from anyone or anything that may be searching for us.

Been some time since last post but I'd like to ask about the quality of those katanas? Those 500 USD ones are`t really that good. Need to go up to around 2 000 USD at a minimum. Do you find this valuable? |

"Been some time since last post but I'd like to ask about the quality of those katanas?I strongly disagree. My first katana was no more than $200, served me for several years of dojo training as well as independent study, having only in the last two years broken the tsuka, which I have neither the skill nor money to replace at this time. Monotempered, carbon steel blade. Nakago is still in near perfect condition, despite not having a shira saya mount for blade storage until I can affod the new tsuka, same, and ito, as well as a new tsuba and fuchi/kashira to match my personal tastes. Beyond that, for a weapon that will see the least service, more than a few hundred well spent is rather ridiculous. If my knee injuries allowed me to continue my training in a dojo, a several thousand dollar sword might be a better investment, but for now, my blades have served me well thus far, and I see no need to waste money during current economic standing. "Been some time since last post but I'd like to ask about the quality of those katanas? My mainly used katana cost me about 800 dollars and it was the 2nd best katana that I ever had the pleasure to use. Sharp blade that retained its sharpness, the blade stayed flawless, granted that I kept it well oiled and cleaned. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
