You are sleeping when either 3 zombies, raiders or cannibals break into your bedroom right now!!! You have only mere seconds to grab something and kill them all. A suggestion to everyone who is serious about this, set your alarm for a time which will wake you up when you dont have hardly any sleep at all, grab something and start swingin'/shootin' GOOD LUCK!

well i have a K-bar at the foot of my bed on the dresser and 2 knifes(one being a switchblade) on my computer desk next to my bed and that is in arms length..but honestly i would kick and push off at thier chest to create distance b4 annalizing the situation or grabbing a weapon

I'll play, right now I'm in my dorm room. I have a folding chair and that's about it. So I'd probably go down swinging, that or I'd break the window and get to my car. In my bedroom at home I have a knife case with over 350+ knives. Some are spread out around my room. There's a Ka-bar a Pilot knife sitting within arms reach of my bed. I also keep a machete on top of the case for killing snakes. If for whatever reason they stalled for long enough I also have the gun locker in my room, So if I had time to barricade the door I could unleash my AK on them. Do you find this valuable? |

I sleep with a bowie knife and my pet rock under my pillow, a machete under my mat, a massive wrench next to my current book of interest (also in my bed), and a couple hundred feet of paracord to tie up anyone dumb enough to open my door when I'm trying to catch a bit of sleep. :)

Glad I read this post. I was going to say the 870 by the headboard. Until I remembered that I put it in the gun cabinet last weekend because some kids were going to be here, and forgot about it. Time for that to go back to its place.

8 inch rough use knife and a baseball bat on my nightstand. And if I had a minute, I could get a gun out of my gun case which is right next to my nightstand.

I have my Remington 1911 .45 acp. in my night stand, beside my bed, also I lay my .357 Derringer double barrel, loaded with .38 special hollow points, on the night stand with my keys, watch, Swiss Army knife,and wallet. I also have the two United Cutlery High Lander swords on hooks above my bed. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!

Great! Good that you are aware of the little ones so as not to have any accidents too so kudos for that @oldannybody47 & @Mr. BS@2WheeledSpeed dont have any accidents now. You severe something off of yu or a friendly by accident... (S***!!!!!) @Destructor You keep the gun case right next to the nightstand? Damn. Not bad except I hope the police wouldn't give a s***. Here they are pretty strict in Canada about proper gun storage. Good suggestions, everyone. As for me: Kabar knife on the headboard, 3 D-cell Mag-Lite, Louisville Slugger bat, my Coghlans brand folding shovel, 2 foot Mastercraft brand wrecking bar, some Axe Twist for a pocket blowtorch and an empty glass bottle of Dad's brand root beer. Do you find this valuable? |

I don't have any young children, or have any at my home. Both of my sons are in college and have basically decided to act as if I don't exist in favor of their rich step daddy. So I don't plan on any kids being in my house without those kids facing HILLBILLY HOME DEFENCE PLAN #1 also known as BANG, BANG, BANG; damn that looks like it hurts? Do you find this valuable? |

I have a nightstand that weighs about 60 pounds, and is made of metal... I'm thinking they can "wear" that. I have no weapons in my bedroom that are immediately available.. I sleep there, and the girl I live with has been known to be upset with me, and a bit "off"....hahaha
