What 10 things to put into backpack

RULESplease mention the type/brand of backpack you will be using. List your 10 basic Items, supplies, and weapons that you would PUT in or ATTACH to your backpack when you are mobile. Unless you are Chuck Norris, DONT mention your Primary weapon, since that should be on your waist . 1 last thing to mention , No cars, bikes or animals Here is my list Molle2 backpack with these items inside 1.Brunton SolarRoll (solar-panel) 2.Hooligan tool 3.Magnifying glass (for fires) 4. 100lbs fishing line 5.portable knife sharpener 6.22x30 portable chair seat ( VERY UNDERRATED ITEM) 7. Cabela's 2 person tent 8. 1 week supply dehydrated food 9 RECON1 Tanto knife ( shaver,tool, and quaternary weapon) 10.water filter 5 out of 16 found this valuable. Do you? |

"RULESBefore I post my list: How much does that chair weigh? Have you ever actually started a fire with a magnifying glass? How about on a cloudy day? How many calories/grams of protein are in that food? No water, or anything to hold or boil it in? My list: Medium Alice pack, external frame Canteen w/ cup combo (one item in my opinion) Water purification tablets Swedish firesteel Camillus Mk2 knife 8'/10' tarp 100ft 550 paracord 28 oz can of chili =) Wool hiking socks Duct tape Roll of toilet paper I would list my first aid kit, but it's a little more than a basic kit, and therefore not allowed =) 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Toiletry kit (1/2 roll t.p., bar of soap, shammy, tooth paste &brush, disposable razor, and foot powder) 7. Wind up, solar, crank, and battery F.M. radio and flashlight 8. 2 survival blankets 9. Machete (high carbon steel, with sheath, 30 inches total length) 10. Fillet knife with sharpener in the sheath. 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Hm, for general purpose...LMAO!!! I like it. Simple, useful and easy to remember. Assuming this is just a day assault kit/pack and not pick 10 and ditch everything else, never to get it back kinda deal. 1. First aid kit 2. Full water bottle with built in filter 3. MRE's/snacks 4. Tac-line (for climbing, repelling, lashing stuff together, etc.) 5. Ammunition 6. MAG-lite 7. Crowbar (2 feet long) 8. Breaching kit 9. Spare change of clothes & socks 10. Lighter fluid 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Thank you all for the input. TO THOSE NAYSAYERS about my loadout1. chair weighs about 2 (TWO) pounds . its more of a cushion 2. YES I HAVE made a fire with a magnifying glass. It is almost always sunny where I live and for obvoius reasons, I will almost never light a fire at night . 3. Its just powdered milk, some meatloaf, rice and protein-shake. 4.I plan to use CANS for DAYtime cooking I thought this through. thank you all for your time :) Do you find this valuable? |

Camping chairs are items of leisure, for when you have a truck to throw crap into. Why are you carrying a solar panel if you have no electronics? Why are you carrying dehydrated food without a container or cooking implement? You still need to drink water, and a can isn't going to do the job. Dedicated water container - lifesaver. If you use a canteen w/cup, you kill two birds with one stone, as well. Your magnifying glass relies on good weather. Pack a flint - they don't care if it's sunny or not. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
