Good stuff a Modern Motte and Bailey castle

This is very well thought out it. reminds me very much of old Motte and Bailey Castles. The first iteration of medieval fortifications. A few questions
1. What are the dimensions for the tiered area?
2. What are you reasons for decreasing the size of the tiers as you go up?
3. have you give any thought to more concentric design that allows for mutual support from different defensive sections and protects your Castle (keep) with a layered defense?
4. Do you need/want a waste water tech?
5. is there secondary exit/ gate for vehicles?
6. Are you planning on installing a CCTV system?
Do you find this valuable?

Apologies for the late reply. I only just saw this thread.

1. Dimensions are on the page, but overall it's 2805 feet by 800 feet.
2. Attrition due to casualties. Imagine that you have 35 people defending the first wall. By the time you need to fall back, you may have lost 4 people. Fewer people to defend, so you have a smaller wall to defend.

That works for each tier you go back. More casualties, more losses. Fewer people, smaller length to defend.

3. Yes, if you look at the page list ( http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/PedroAsani%27s+Survival+Plan+-+Part+3%3A+Digging+In+-+The+base+-+Design+Evolution ) you can see that my original design was of concentric circles. However, this resulted in a large perimeter that would be difficult to defend. So I opted for the design that became the final one.

4. That is included, if you read the infrastructure page.

5. No. Vehicles can only approach one way. The escape plan for people is to abseil down the back of tier 6.

6. It is something I have thought about, depending on the tech available. Night vision capable cameras make the most sense, but it will depend on the price.

When are you planning to construct this fortress? Do you find this valuable?

"When are you planning to construct this fortress?"
When I have funding. Hopefully in the next few years.

Once you've built it, are you gonna live there? And it's completely off-grid right? Do you find this valuable?

"Once you've built it, are you gonna live there? And it's completely off-grid right?"
Some of the time, certainly. As for "off-grid", not exactly.

Off Grid means different things to different people, but to me it means no public utilities. And I plan on having Grid power, internet and water/gas pipes.

Why? Because producing excess power from the panels allows me to sell it back to the Grid. Because most of the time, running your own water pump is more expensive than mains water. Because a satellite internet connection is far more expensive than broadband.

Some people go off-grid because they distrust the providers. I trust them, but I have backups. Just In Case.

Ok, but if SHTF, it will be able to get power and water still?
And if you do live there for some of the time, do you plan to grow crops while you are there? Or will you only start farming after SHTF, and if you do grow crops the entire time, are you planning to stockpile the food, or will you sell it?

Yes. All this is detailed on the rest of the plan pages.
