My Plan (should i let others in my shelter)

I will give you my backgorund information so you know ruffly where i am coming from. I live in England (for the record only anti terrorist police carry guns, normal people aren't allowed). I run my own property development company. Ever since i was a kid i have been security paranoid, i alway's promised myself when i had money i would live in a bunker. So when i could afford it i had a bunker built around £300 per square foot 12inch thick concrete walls, underground one escape tunnel. It is designed to withstand an indirect nucleur blast (6 miles away) and has it's own air filltration system and plumbing, for chemical warfare. I live in devon with my family (no wife or kids). It was designed as my main residence so the interior is really nice, i could propably survive about 6months on the food and water if i rationed it. It has it's own backup generator so i would not need to really on the grid. Above it is protected with a 8ft high steel chainlink fence 2ft burried below the ground, with cameras on both the inside and outside (closed circuit only viewable from my office). I have a collection of crossbows as we are not allowed guns in England. My question is should i let other survivors apart from my family in the shelter or would that be too dangerous.

P.S. I know i am paranoid but i'll will be the one laughing if anarchy breaks out or Z day happens. I am new to the site so sorry if i have asked a stupid question or have called things by the wrong name.

Actually guns are allowed in england. You just have to have a valid reason (hunting, collecting etc oh, and self defence is not an acceptable reason). Look at your firearms laws a bit more here is some links I have found.

Easiest way to get a firearm license is the shotgun certificate. Just go clay pigeon shooting a couple of times, and apply for one.

Your bunker sounds good however how long will your generator last? And make sure you have an escape plan if you are breached for whatever reason.
I wouldn't take strangers into my BOL, just take your family and friends.

BTW, I've always wanted a nuclear bunker.

Let me reply to the previous 2 posts:
First off, if you are collecting guns they must be disabled so you cannot fire them, and if you want to apply for a shotgun license it must only be a double barrel. Hunting license's mean you can only buy a rifle under 22. calliber or a single shot gun. None of these are going to be very useful, the bonus to useing a crossbow is that it is near silent and so won't attract attention.. Several of my friends have shotgun license's and i ocasionally go hunting with them. At least that is what the police in my area have told me. It is certainly not as easy as in America which is annoying.
Secondly the generator depends on how much fuel i have to power it, i am thinking of installing solar panel's so i am not so reliant on fuel.

Sorry some of my above post does not make complete sense i did not fully proof read before posting. I don't know how others feel but i am not the kind of person to "bug out". I think it has got too many flaws and too many problems could arise. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah, pics or it didn't happen...and you will need some form of proving it.

But anyway, i'm just gonna assume you do have one, since you havn't been proven otherwise.

I think you should try to keep you're population limit to a minimum, and not let others into your bunker, but then again, you could prepare a room for "guests" which is basically a room, that will be guarded by 2 cross-bow wielding people if it is occupied, then you can guage weather they would be an addition to you're stronghold or not. Also, yeah, the solar panels would be a great idea, and if you can, you could just have sort of "cross-bow towers" which could basically be small hills, with a small wall, just a metre high, where peopel could sit and guard the base.

Interesting question.

I'm going to have to ignor the "fact" that a self professed paranoid that has spent the big bucks to make an underground bunker to live in doesn't have any guns or seem to even have taken the efferet to learn what his country's gun laws are.... But does sound strange to me

Anyway back to the questions about letting strangers into your shelter......Why would you? you have a finite amount of supplies why would you want to do something that will diminish it.
You have 6 month supplies for two people now, let 2 more in you now have 3 months.
What would your advantage be to let in somebody you don't know. Might would be different if they came with a truck load of supplies but I think that is pretty unrealistic to expect

If you can afford to spend this much money on a fancy very expensive underground bunker house I would suggest to invest in more food and water.
