The Maxpedition EDC Organizer

What do you think. I think it is a great thing to have. It can hold all the things you need to go short range without making you look like a freak with pockets full of knives and fire starters.

I have had one for a couple of weeks to organise my edc messenger bag. Working out fine for now, don't know how well the elastic straps will last with long term usage though.

Hmmm, don't have one. I do have a little gray satchel/man purse for my every day carry type stuff though =^_^= Got it on clearance for like, six dollars. It seems to work really well even though its nothing special. To make it more stable and less bouncy I secure the shoulder strap through my belt. I mostly just carry jury rigging supplies in it though.

Neat, but it seems like it'd only really fit inside of a large cargo pants pocket or to wear on your belt. Probably be pretty good for folks who don't mind doing that. Double advantage to those with MOLLE-compatible stuff; looks like PALS webbing on the back of it.I prefer having my EDC stuff at my fingertips, so I use my pockets for stuff that I want to be able to access quickly - cell phone (tried sheath but it annoyed the hell out of me) in my left front pocket, a penlight and my pocket knife clipped to my right front pocket, and my keys/carabiner on the first belt loop left of my belt buckle. I keep my traditional wallet in my back right pocket, and I keep a "survival wallet" in my back left. What's a survival wallet? I'll make an article some day and go into detail on it if anyone's interested. Might be a neat QD-EDC addition to a larger manpurse or messenger bag that has PALS webbing on it, but again, I like having my tools at my fingertips. Maybe work well (for me) for back-up EDC stuff? It's almost like the middle ground between a backback and just going with pockets. Do you find this valuable? |

I got my bag. I love it. I ended up getting the mini pocket organizer and at first I thought I was going to have a problem with access but I was wrong it is much easier than having everything in my pocket. I do still keep my knife in my pocket though.

I was looking through the pictures of it you put up, looks pretty cool. Is that a mini-mag AA in it? Definitely a good way to carry that around! How's it fit in your pockets?

"I was looking through the pictures of it you put up, looks pretty cool. Is that a mini-mag AA in it? Definitely a good way to carry that around! How's it fit in your pockets?"The flashlight runs on one AAA. Now that I take a closer look at it I think it is not a mini-mag it more like a knock-off but it is still really sturdy and has an o-ring in the battery case so it is completely water-proof. Can't adjust the beam though. It fits great in a cargo-pocket you can definetly feel that its there but it is barely noticeable from the outside. I am also surprised at how much I use it also.
