Seems to me like it'd be difficult to carry around. If you're in a vehicle, maybe, but on foot you'll be carrying enough anyway.

I'll stick with a plain and simple bedroll, its thin, and it doesn't weigh much. If I want to sleep up higher, I'll put the damned thing on a counter or a table.

I have a hammock in my BOB, that is easier and lighter to carry than a cot

I would use one at a location I was planning on staying at for some time, but I would scavenge one when I wanted a cot and wouldn't carry one around.

Even the best folding cot is too large and heavy to want to carry around with you all day. Cots are for barracks and bunkers. If you are on the move...think smaller and lighter.I have a regular hammock and a jungle hammock. I also have a black padded bed roll and an artic sleeping bag. All of these options are small enough and light enough to pack and carry. Do you find this valuable? |

Good points all around. If I did get one, I wouldn't make it part of my B.O.B. (which I still need to make....) What's the difference between a regular hammock and a jungle hammock?
