"If you want to help you could download Google Sketchup and make models for the "infinite" city, I need 100*100 meter squares with a small part of the city, even if it isn't looking great it would help because I can work on the model :) If you want to do this please send me a message for more information. It is actually very easy."k i'll try. what geographical location do you want it in and how do you want buildings to look? Do you find this valuable? |

"k i'll try. what geographical location do you want it in and how do you want buildings to look?"Basically anywhere you want, the more different the different pieces are the more variety there will be in the environment, maybe don't do like new york since I have to make the inside of each building too so keep it simple but detailed if you can. Also try to keep in mind that the model itself wont have any "hitboxes" and that those will need to be added later so try to avoid making the landscape too curvy, but don't make it too flat either since it will look bad then. And make each building, tree, bench etc. into a group so they can be easily moved around/ copied :) Thx for helping :) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"I'm planning on a pen and paper rpg.Kicking down doors is something I will most definitely have in my game too :) Since I will have a martial arts class that class will like be able to kill a zombie with his bare hands in less than a second (like breaking it's neck or just punching it really hard in the face) but if you dont wear protection and punch a zombie in the face you risk infection since you can cut your hand in it's teeth :P Do you find this valuable? |

"You can do shamblers, ragers, and special. That would be cool"I won't really do many special zombies except for the player zombies in multiplayer mode (if I ever get there) where they will have the power to control other zombies depending on their level, so a level 1 zombie only controls like 2 extra zombies and he himself is a zombie running around while a level 50 zombie has like an overview perspective and controls like 100 zombies and he himself is not a zombie he just controls the other zombies from a third person perspective trying to kill as many survivors as he can with his little horde :P Do you find this valuable? |

But I will have different game modes, and I was thinking of just having Classic more and Infected mode, but I might add Special mode where I have special zombies and stuff like that :)

"So, what's your progress so far?"I've got a physics engine (sort of, it's still buggy sometimes and I don't know why, but I'll probably get another better one), started modelling a part of the city, got the basics on how the infinite city will work and made the hitbox for the player (and the movement which needs some improvement) and you are also able to "punch" stuff by clicking them, though there isn't and range limit so far XD I will probably be able to continue working on the game within 4 weeks, depending on how much school work I will be getting when that begins... "im willing to test it for you ive played about 30 beta test games"Beta testers are always appreciated but it will take a while before I will have abeta version up and running, I've just started with the game but when I have a beta ready (hopefully within 6 months) I will gladly give it to you :) Do you find this valuable? |

"Also how about there's nothing to prevent you for useing a chainsaw for example. Also what kind of matial arts."The chainsaw and similar tools will run on either petrol or electricity and it will run out after a while but can be refilled/recharged. About the martial arts it will probably be like one class with some special punch, grab, throw etc. moves so it won't be like one type of martial art it will be more like a general "martial arts" class. "There wont be a starting "safehouse", though you will start in a house which you could barricade to make it into a safehouse. What you start with depends on what class and level you are at. I am thinking of making it "realistic" in the way that if you start out as like martial arts expert you will basically have no weapon except maybe fighting gloves because that class won't really need much more to survive, but if you are like a student you wouldn't be able to have survived this far (the game starts in the middle of an apocalypse) without any weapons and you will start with like a bat or something like that.Hi, I know this is like a very late post so I doubt you'll see it but have you made progress on the game, like are you sticking to it? I've been looking for a game EXACTLY like this and there is none...just games where you have to kill waves and waves of zombies which is boring. This sounds amazing and I'd love to play it. Instead of just dying and keeping the EXP, how about you get the option of becoming a zombie like if your allie doesn't kill you when you're bitten, then after a day or less you turn into one and walk the dead.
