Zombies & Movement
May 28 2011, 3:45 PM EDT
Okay, this is combining what I've learned and common knowledge of biology regarding zombies and movement:Zombies are human beings taken over by a virus. The virus takes control of the brain and therefore, the entire body. We all know this to be an established part of zombie knowledge. Now, with movement, there is no possible way for a zombie to move quickly. The human body requires a constant supply of energy to perform movement and in order for us to obtain that energy, we must consume food and liquids. Zombies do consume living flesh and blood, but since the body is in fact a corpse and the cells can not perform cellular respiration, the amount of energy for fast movement such as running, jogging, swimming, sprinting, jumping, or doing a flip by one's self is impossible for a zombie. The amount of energy that the zombie gets from the flesh is only enough to continue moving at a pace no faster than a moderately paced walk. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

This is invalid due to the fact there is not a shred of evidence to support zombies are humans from a virus.

it's a nice try jazorama, but i think seeing as there are so many different types of zombies that this thread is a bit pointless besides i'm pretty sure someone already tried a zombie biology thread

"This is invalid due to the fact there is not a shred of evidence to support zombies are humans from a virus."I agree that there's no evidence to support the idea of a zombie virus but that doesn't mean it couldn't be a virus. The virus might be man made. An experiment gone wrong perhaps. Or it could be a sort of parasite. There are parasites in the world at the moment that can take over an animals brain and take control of the animals body. What's to say one of these parasites might evolve enough to take over a humans mind? The parasite would only shut down bodily functions it doesn't need, eg emotions. But things like breathing and muscle movement would have to be kept as these would be essential to the parasites life cycle and being able to pass them over. Do you find this valuable? |
