GPS and Geocaching
Jun 3 2011, 12:02 AM EDT | Post edited: Jun 3 2011, 12:02 AM EDT
I just found out what geocaching was last night. This is the type of activity I need to get into! I'm a big fan of hidden treasure and scavenger hunt kinda sh!t. And after the initial investment of the GPS, its a cheap hobby.

So I need to buy a GPS. Anyone have any recommendations? I don't need it for road navigation; I know how to read a map. While geocaching would be the primary use for it, having a GPS unit could really come in handy in a survival situation. And I want to keep this under a $100. So far it seems like this one:

is my best bet. But if anyone has done any geocaching and has any input let me know.
Do you find this valuable?

You can use pretty much anything I know because I am a very active geocacher. I even was able to get one of those running GPS to work. I would go to geocaching.com and see what they recommend. My GPS's are all 3-4 years old so they are a little outdated. Good luck and PM me if you need any help.
