I don't have googles. I use bing.
:)

No, seriously, I agree; a pair of goggles could be useful.

LOL, that is funny, i was a little confused by the title as well. Anyhow, i already have some goggles, Oakley's brand combat goggles on my kevlar helmet. Though the helmet might not be needed come Z-Day, the goggles probably would....

Very true, a lot of the time goggles or any type of eye protection is overlooked or not thought of. It would really suck if you survived traveling through masses of zombies only to get a litle drop of blood in your eye... Do you find this valuable?

You can buy ballistic glasses with a clear lens, too. They breathe better than most goggles, which fog up quickly. I have an ESS set that was GI back in '05 that came with one set of frames and nosepiece that you can attach to two lens pieces (one dark and one clear) so you're good for day or night ops. Unless you are planning on getting DRENCHED, simple glasses should do the trick. And you should always have some kind of eye protection. I happen to use a pair of ESS Crossbows issued to me with the clear lense for night, and a pair of Revolution Hellfly sunglasses I bought for daytime. Do you find this valuable?

Doesn't matter if you plan on it or not, all it takes is a sudden change in wind or what have you and a little bit of gore could get you. Do you find this valuable?

And generally, standard glasses will prevent splatter. Seriously, unless you get enough blood on you to be SOAKED in it, goggles will provide little extra protection that matters, while they will be much more uncomfortable than standard ballistic eyewear, limit your field of vision more, fog easier, and generally get in the way.

Not to mention, unless you're getting gusts in the 30-50 knot range...

I habitually wear DeWalt safety sunglasses. They work for motorcycling (we have bugs the size of small birds!) They are good in the shop or outside in the field. Inexpensive, comfortable and tough but I cut the arms back so I can slide them on under helmets. The best gear is the stuff you have with you all the time.

As one of the few people on here stupid enough to consider himself a melee specialist, I go heavy on the splatter protection. =^_^= Goggles are included. I have had plenty of things go over or under my little glasses and reach my eye (or very close) before so I wouldn't rely on anything other than really large glasses for eye protection. And those are ugly so I don't buy those frames. =^_~=

But lets think of situations where goggles are handy that don't involve zombies too! =^_^=

Me too dono. I have a pair of these:
http://www.amazon.com/SoftAir-Airsoft-Shooting-Goggle-Yellow/dp/B0013CJLUY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1307368110&sr=8-2

I've kinda modified them to fit over my helmet's nose piece. For everyday shooting, and In my car bob (my range bag with a few extra survival bits) I have an inexpensive pair of sunglasses that convert to goggles.

The name of this thread threw me off... I thought Icanhazcheeseburger had invaded us: Everybody oberluks Googles, but I finds the bests Cheezeburgers there!!

My brother and I were just discussing the need for eye protection recently, and I really need to get something. I wear contacts currently, so I will probably need a prescription pair to see past 5 ft. Sure hope it can wait until I get my Lasik surgery completed though, that would make things a lot easier. Indeed so, as you do not want to be caught dead killing the undead and looking unfashionable. Zombies die quicker if you look cool while you shoot :) I'll probably end up looking like Bubbles off of Trailer Park Boys or something.

Better than Bubbles from the powerpuff girls...

Hollywood has indeed shown me that things explode bigger and die faster if you look cool while you do it.

HA, I definitely do not want to look like any powerpuff character! I can’t wait for the moment I get to walk away from a massive explosion, zombies flying in the air on fire, and not even look back. :) It’s fun to imagine an apocalypse turning into a B movie lol

Edward Norton is dying for the role.

However when all the dust settles the apoc wouldn't be so amazing. : ( Just hot weather and hard work...or cold weather and hard work. To each his or her own.

BTW Capt Bonanza is what we call a problem maker aka a troll. I apologize for his actions. He will be dealt with soon I assure you.
