Hey guys. I recently say a reprint of Ed McGivern's classic "Fast and Fancy Revolver shooting" for sale on Amazon, and I'm going to order it in a few minutes.

That got me to thinking; what are some other classic gun books that I should look for?
A few I have in mind already:
Sixguns by Elmer Keith (I'd love to get it, but don't have the money.)
No Second Place Winner by Bill jordan.
The Complete Book of Rifles and Shotguns by Jack O'Connor.
Principles of Self Defense by Jeff Cooper.
Ayoob on Firearms by Massad Ayoob.

Are there any other really good ones out there? I'm also trying to find stuff by Skeeter Skelton.

Thanks guys :)
Do you find this valuable?

I haven't read any of them but I think Col. Rex Applegate has some pretty gnarly publications.

For combat stuff in general, read "On Combat" and "On Killing" by Dave Grossman. Do you find this valuable?

I haven't heard of him. I'll have to look him up.

Oh, two others just came to mind: Whelen and Askins.

Edit: I'll look that up too phoenix.

Well, I'm partial to Mel Tappen's "Survival Guns". Tho, some of the choices are dated, the reasons FOR the choices are spelled out and hence provide food for thought.
