Most important meal of the day.
Jun 20 2011, 2:57 AM EDT
I have recently broken out of a very bad habit... Skipping breakfast.Seeing as it really is a very important meal, and I could instantly feel the positive effects, lets share our favourite breakfast. Mine is a spinach and tomato omelette with a cup of oats and yoghurt on the side. The way I see it is if any sort of disaster were to take place during the day, your breakfast might just give you the fighting edge. Do you find this valuable? |

Weetabix: Quick to eat, gives you a lot of energy. But If I'n looking for something that tastes nice, then a full english breakfast, but those will be impossible to get post-ZDay, and they're very unhealthy

"Weetabix: Quick to eat, gives you a lot of energy. It's rare that I can stomach a meal like that in the morning but it does do wonders for a hangover. Do you find this valuable? |

"what about second breakfast?" _Pippin. LOTR.Is this a British thing? Most of my working life I've had a light (first) breakfast when I get up, Coffee, toast, porridge in winter. Then 2 or 3 hours later a main (second) breakfast. The fried one! Eggs, bacon, sausage, fried mushrooms, fried tomato, baked beans, a couple of fried slice and black pudding when I can get it. Which gets you through till lunch. My Spanish friends were horrified, they habitually eat a small cake. . . _ 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Full English. Bacon, eggs, sausages, black pudding, the lot. And plenty of toast. Heaven on Earth. Post z-day, acquiring the lot will be difficult. But I plan to keep hens definitely and a pig can last a while if you salt it so that covers the black pudding, sausages and bacon which is all you need really. All those calories will be burned as post z-day. I doubt we will have much heat in the winter. Last winter we had no fuel, even with electric heaters and both fires on it was freezing. Edit: Breakfast always requires tea. Possibly 2 mugs depending on the size of breakfast. Do you find this valuable? |

One or two hardboiled eggs, coffee (black), and an orange. That's my usual breakfast these days. But if we're talking favorites here, french toast (made with eggnog if its Christmas) and bacon. Maple syrup on everything. Sadly, I don't think that'll be an option for me post z-day. D: 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

While I'm often given classic breakfast foods like bacon, waffles, pancakes, and hash browns by my mother and sister when they're cooking, my preferred breakfast is generally the exact same food as I eat for lunch.

I'm never really hungry in the morning, so I rarely eat breakfast. When I am hungry in the morning, I'm famished. On those occassions I eat leftovers, a lot of leftovers.
