Thanks Deadsilence1 and SasquatchJim. I've been on the boards for a couple of years. I'll get approval from the staff. It's tough self promoting a book. :-) My apologies. Do you find this valuable?

Oh crap, you have? My mistake on the "welcome" thing. I just hadn't heard your name before.

But, anyway, yeah, as long as you get approval it's fine.

First tip? Put a synopsis on the amazon page. I look at that and I have no idea what it is.

Second tip? Send us a few review samples. We are more likely to get behind something we have read and enjoyed. Hint :)

The Kales Report is an Epistolary novel, which is a collection of journal entries that Joseph Kales wrote before and during the zombie apocalypse. Joseph goes about his ordinary life when the infection suddenly hits. His ultimate goal is to reunite with his girlfriend, Stacy. As the story progresses, he begins to unveil as conspiracy that he is somehow connected to. The book includes maps, pictures, letters, and a binary code message, which the reader will need to figure out how to decode to read.

That sums of the story itself, but let’s look at it from the author’s point of view. I’m a huge zombie fan. I have been since I was a teenager. This book is a mix between my personal memoir and thoughts but in a land filled with zombies. I make many references to zombie related media that only zombie fans will understand. The maps in the book are from my own zombie related nightmares. I woke up in a pool of sweat, heart beating fast and I started to write what my dream was about and drew maps. I also include my own theories about the infection, zombie tactics and strategy. Some of these, I’ve debated in the Dead Wake forums while I was helping design content for the game.

I don’t expect the book to be popular like the Zombie Survival Guide or The Walking Dead. That wasn’t my intention. I wanted to write a book and I am a zombie aficionado. I wrote this to pay homage to the undead and it’s was therapeutic to write some of my personal experiences. I will always be a zombie fan. I believe this is a book that zombie fans will enjoy.
