Learn to spell.....

Sarcasm aside, what do you want to write about? Start with a plan and go from there

Let your imagination roam free. IM still trying to
work on my zombie story. For example, After becoming
MIA from civil war, the main character (extension of me)
flees to Northern Nevada to escape California's dense population
and Unfair gun laws.

thats just the beginning of the story It will get far more complex from there.
An old demon will come back to haunt him later on. this is some deep sh*t I will be writing here. Michael Bay would love to make a movie out of this.

anyways, Just be creative and don't let the Trollz on this site bother you. Feel free to add me as a friend if you have any more questions. :)

Perhaps you should think about your favourite writers, what is it that you like about their stories? How do they construct their work and what styles and techniques do they use? Finally what tools do they use? Word processors with dictionary and thesaurus tools are extremely powerful, if you know how to use them.

Try something like everybody got a shot for something but it turned you into a zombie and the only people that are alive were immune or poor

why dont' you try having something for like somce regular person gets caught up in Zday unprepared and how hard it is to survive? (mind you even prepared it still isn't easy) also try thinking of how desperate people will act for anything, and hwo easily they will belive in anything and do it to save their own skins, also how people could band together despite differences or take advantage of the lawlessness to do whatever they pleased Do you find this valuable?

To write a story/get Started:

1) Decide on:
- Characters (name, description, etc.)
- Setting (location, time, etc.)
- Plot (not specific, just general points on what will happen in the story)
-the "problem" (what will cause the characters to take action- For example: a zombie apocalypse)

2) Write out general points on :
What will happen in the Introduction?
What will happen in the "rising action" (the lead up to the climax)?
What will happen in the climax?
What will happen in the conclusion?

***4 parts of a story:
Introduction - characters and setting are introduced
"lead up" (to climax) - problem is introduced - plot begins to develop (building up to the climax)
climax - the most exciting part of the story - a change or decision occurs that decides the fate of the characters.
Conclusion- ties up all the loose ends (reveals the final fate of the characters and/or builds up to a sequel)***

3) Write out the story (writing it part by part may help).

4) Edit and Revise (ensure the "flow" of the sentences is good, correct spelling and grammar mistakes, and make sure the story is interesting/appealing)

5) Find someone to look over and edit/revise it.

6) Revise and Edit some more.

7) Congratulations, you have written a story!

Hope this helps.

A great idea would be to read some of the other zombie fiction on the sight. The community story is a great starting point but it gives some insight to starting a story in multiple ways along with character development foreshadowing events and showing how dialoge works. 1  out of 1 found this valuable.
