"here is a though why not live in remote in the woods and live off the land"You have been a member since April and you haven't looked at anything on this site have you.? If you have read any of the other older members plans you will see that there are many options put forth, including remote areas..? But more importantly...can YOU live offf the land , isolated and alone.. do YOU have the skills to say, start a fire with nothing but your knowledge, no matches, no firestarters, no bic lighters? Can YOU set a spring trap or a dead fall?...have you ever run a trot line... ? Have you ever hunted to start with, do you know how to dress and preserve game in the wild? can you build a shelter with only what is around you at your destination.? These are questions you should ask yourself...Lots of members like myself already live pretty remote Do you find this valuable? |

there are very few places where you could live off the land pioneer style anymore, remember when the pioneers did it the country was somthing like 90% forest.
