DO NOT use arrows to show the way! Arrows could lead to curiosity in potential raiders. Though following it could just as easily lead to their death, would you like to risk sending them towards a safehouse? If you are in an urban area or the sun or stars are covered by thick clouds, relying on the cardinal directions may be hard without compass. Instead, use simple forward, back, left, and right. Rather than using symbols for each, have location on your code stand for the direction. Also, make it relative to how the reader views it. For example, say you come across a marking on the corner of a four way street:....Z D.L. ....S L is your current location, D is your teammate's destination, Z leads to zombies, and S leads to a safehouse. Relative to the way you are facing when you read the code, the street behind you leads to S, to your left leads to D, and the street in front of you leads to zombies. Also, don't forget to leave a date. It may come in handy if you come across it a code from two months ago. Things may have changed since then, or maybe you changed the code. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
