That is a very cool idea, but the question I have to ask you is:Can you sustainably make chlorine? Do you find this valuable? |

"That is a very cool idea, but the question I have to ask you is:Probably not. That would probably be something to have beforehand or try and scavenge. I would probably have them pre-made if I had a BOL in my hands before SHTF. Do you find this valuable? |

I wouldn't pre-make them. I'd keep the chlorine safe and sound until I needed/wanted it.That trick would probably only be useful in the attic, but would you really be wanting to cut holes through your roof? I mean, come winter time, you're going to be one cold SOB. (If you live where there is no winter, ignore that.) And there are always candles. You can make natural candles. Do you find this valuable? |

"I wouldn't pre-make them. I'd keep the chlorine safe and sound until I needed/wanted it.True, but you could always take them out and replace the panel with an insulated one when it starts to get cold. That way you could save them for the spring/ summer. It's really meant for one- level or top level places. I'm sure there are ways to adapt it. Do you find this valuable? |
