Your next weapon
Aug 27 2011, 9:51 PM EDT
Whether its a firearm, melee, or crossbow...What will realistically be your next weapon you purchase and why? Just curious to see what everyone has planned for the near future. Currently, I have my eyes set on a the Springfield GI 1911 .45 because I've always like 1911's but never got one. Also I already have a Glock 21 and I'd like to stay with the same caliber for ammunition. Springfield Armory has great reviews as far as reliability too. I also am eye'ing the Remington 870 Jr. 20 Gauge because I don't have a scatter gun yet. I like the junior version with the 18 and a half inch barrel because it'll be nice for clearing narrow small rooms. Do you find this valuable?

I'm looking at an RIA 1911, a Stoeger 12 gauge SXS, or a Samick Sage takedown recurve bow.My longbow has served me well but it's nearing the end of her lifespan. Time to update the arsenal. Damn I need a lot of money.... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

When I'm finished doing my AK build I'll be buying a Glock 19. I want another 9mm handgun that I can use as a CCW piece as well as a SHTF handgun. I'll probably buy another shotgun if I find a good deal on one, probably a used 870. Do you find this valuable? |

First off, I think the Springfield 1911 is an excellent gun. They're solid and dependable. If you're willing to shell out a few more bucks, I'd suggest their Mil-Spec model; it's a slightly upgraded GI (namely better sights.) I've got one, and love it.Now, my next weapon will probably be a side-by-side shotgun. Following my drama with Remington recently, I'm in the market for a new scattergun. My next handgun will probably be a .44 magnum, but that's a while off. Do you find this valuable? |

I just hope I can find the one I want, everywhere online says its out of stock and some of them say non-backorderable. Do you find this valuable? |

I hear the RIA is a damned good piece for similar price though. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Although, I suppose I haven't fed too many JHPs through it. A few hundred at most. Edit: Agreed though on RIA. They seem like they're good. Do you find this valuable? |

Its not a weapon, but I am eyeballing a .38 Super slide/barrel for one of my 1911s to start shooting metal targets. You can load that sucker hot and get some power down range(I know I will be lambasted by the .45 set, but look at the loading numbers before you give me crap).

my next weapon? thats a tough call. there are so many guns out there i want to own that it makes it hard to decide.i feel like i should strengthen a weakness in my arsenal by getting an AR15. i have a handgun, shotgun, 22LR so i got almost all my bases covered except for an assault rifle. so i would like to take care of that. but realistically, an AR15 is our of my price range for awhile. so going cheap, i would like to get a cheaper rifle, maybe an AK47 or some 30.06 cheap rifle. so many choices, so little moneys! I want a .22LR supressor for my .22LR 1911 before anything else, then another .45ACP 1911. Probably a tac railed+threaded barrel Sig this time so I can go get another silencer. I obviously don't "need" a couple silenced 1911s, I just think it'd be cool as heck.Won't be for a while, I've got another motorcycle planned before another gun. Do you find this valuable? |

i wanted to do a Ruger Mini 30 because of the cheap and easy to stockpile ammo and the many add-ons for the gun. but lots of friends are telling my that the accuracy of the Mini 30 is crap

"i wanted to do a Ruger Mini 30 because of the cheap and easy to stockpile ammo and the many add-ons for the gun. but lots of friends are telling my that the accuracy of the Mini 30 is crap"Try for yourself, maybe they fixed the accuracy problems like the 14, maybe the groups aren't great, but not horrible, maybe they open up after a few mags, or maybe they're right and the accuracy is crap all the time. My point is, you'll never know for certain unless you try Do you find this valuable? |

My Mini-14 wasn't bad. Definitely not a tack driver, but a decent enough shooter.
