What do you know? I'm famous!

I adjusted the article slightly to include your bug nets and hammock tarp.

Just out of curiosity, once you add the bug net and the tarp, haven't you also added many of the disadvantages of a tent? I mean:

With the bug net and tarp attached you won't really be able to hide a hammock high in a tree amongst the greenery, or at least it will be much more difficult.

It will take a little longer to set up/dismantle.

When inside it, visibility will be reduced. Maybe not as much as in a tent, granted, but still.

If a zombie does sneak up on you, it will now take a few extra seconds to get out of the hammock. And then what? You've left your hammock behind.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the recognition TLG!

A good article x-wolf! The best is the hammock in the tree only because you get to decide your fate instead of the zed(s). If you get stuck in a tree and you have a knife, perhaps you can make a spear to reach out and kill a zed or zeds that is surrounding your tree or whatever you can think of? Tents can be surrounded and if a tent does not stop a hungry male grizzly bear, it isn't going to stop a zed either. Unfortunately with zeds, there maybe more than 1. Grizzly attacks on humans in tents are usually done by a single male. The worse is the bivy sack, to me that is a human gyro or burrito for the undead. The light weigh hammock is a really good feature for survivors on foot unless of course you are not in the forest. Then again, I guess you can always make a some sort of shelter from it even if you can not use it as a hammock and still lighter and cheaper than a decent tent.
