Is there a way of finding out if any members live near me? Perhaps I could make a group, to prepare for the worst nearby my home. I live in the capital region near Albany, New York, but have no family members in the state, and all of my personal friends think this whole concept is just ridiculous. It would be nice to have like minded individuals to chat with and prepare with, who know the area in which I live. I'm kinda new to the area. Do you find this valuable?

I've been thinking this also, sir! I'm in Maryland, and if anyone else is within 100 miles of me, perhaps we could all try to convene after SHTF...seems like better chances of survival to me, since we're all relatively like-minded, in that we're all on a zombie site...

According to google, Albany is only 330 miles away via major highways >.>

I'm in NE Wisconsin, and I've come across a couple members in the state just by reading profiles. Just start a location shout-out thread or something. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

If you want to get your friends in on the zombie survival situation I would suggest buying a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide and loaning it to them.
It is by no means an actual survival guide but its a great way to introduce people to zombie survival and then to other more realistic survival situations.

That is an awesome idea.

As far as the shout-out thread...I suppose I will.
