My brother and I made a small cannon ourselves and I must say it is harder than you think. We used iron pipe from Home Depot and it used 40 grains of black powder and fired a .54cal musket ball but it would not sit still or shoot straight. Since we can't rifle the barrel its very inaccurate and we couldn't get the carriage to stay in place. Plus it shot backwards out of the carriage several times and almost smashed a window. So be warned! 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

This thread is just asking to blow somebody's fingers off. Furthermore, there are plenty of threads and pages on making weapons. If that's not enough, go download some Army TMs.
