Ladies and Gentlemen! Let the November Project Begin!
Nov 1 2011, 7:11 PM EDT | Post edited: Nov 1 2011, 7:11 PM EDT
I need every user to start contributing here. The plan is as follows:

1. Pick a continent you like.
2. Pick a country you like in that continent.
3. Create a page for that country.
4. Topics you should cover include: Laws, military forces, economy, terrain, natural resources, population and demographics etc. Please include your own as well if you want to!

Other people ARE allowed to work on your country's page. However, if they keep messing it up contact a moderator.

Please try and keep this guide tidy. We will try and make the pages more uniform once we get more done.

Also, avoid politics for the minute. Do NOT mention governments, parties, democracy, theocracy or any other ideology. We might cover that later once we have the facts in place.

So, over to you! Pick your country, create your page, get cracking!

Pictures are also a great addition when creating pages! (Go for it!)

Do we want to handle American states seperately? America's a damn huge country and each state can be very different in laws, terrain, and economy, so they're practically different countries altogether. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Should we maybe list our continent/country on this thread, so as to avoid duplicate pages? 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes, that's a good idea Chitoryu12 and one which I have already decided upon.

I'm going to do the following for every location.

First you click on a continent.
Then you click on a large region. (This may be Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, The Korean Peninsula etc. The USA could also be considered a region given its size)
The you click on a country within that region. (For example, Finland in Scandinavia, Italy in the Mediterranean, or the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the Korean Peninsula. For the USA, Russia, India, China and Brazil, given their size, we are going to examine each state, federal district or whatever it is locally called.)

At each level (Continent, Region, Country) we will examine survival in depth.

For example:

North America:
North America is highly developed *blah blah* and has x number of soldiers using y number of technology. There is a population of z. Survival here looks good.

Region (Or Country in the case of the large nations):
The USA has the strongest military force in the world and may be able to use its air force effectively against zombies. etc

Country (Or States/Districts in the case of large nations):
The State of North Dakota is very sparsely populated meaning an outbreak would take a long time to spread.

I hope you understand what I'm getting at here.

No, you can make your own thread.

Find your continent then claim your country there.

No problem, stick to the Republic.

The UK is a funny situation.

I think we'll do the following for it.

Continent: Europe
Region: British Isles
Country: Ireland (and Northern Ireland)

I can help you with Northern Ireland.

That is a difficult part of the world to work on.

"I claim Canada!"
I can help you out with this, Canada is a fairly large area, so views from people in different provinces may help.

Go ahead and split Canada up into its provinces! I'm not too sure how it works in Canada, but I think Quebec is somewhat an equivalent of a US state. I'm leaving Canada to the Canadians! Do you find this valuable?

I'll be working medicinal herbs and aquaponics in general and desert survival specific to the Mojave.

I sense a bit of hesitation with that request so dont worry about it. I'll get someone to migrate my material for me.

Excellent, That is far beyond my areas of expertise. We will be glad to have that information.

I'm not normally the one who promotes writers. It seems to be done predominantly by PedroAsani. Have you applied via the apply to be a writer button yet?

no I didn't, I wasn't really looking for a promotion. I just needed it so I could post my pages when I get them formatted.

Its not a big deal.

I live in Quebec, maybe I could help out the Canada guys for this province, even though I am not a writer?
