Quotes to Survive By
Nov 1 2011, 8:23 PM EDT
Well, guys, what have you got? Just list a quote, one single quote, that you would live by during a zombie apocalypse. I'll start it off."The more you bleed in training, the less you bleed in war." A favorite of mine. Applicable in any kind of scenario, but it just seems to fit. I interpret it as, bust your *ss now, and you won't have to later. Get ready. Get fit, strong, smart, and prepared. And then that can be your mantra if all hell breaks loose; *Swing-splurch* "The more you bleed -" *Sclurch* "- in training," *Duck-kick jump* "The less you bleed in WAR!" *Swing-crack-thump* 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Actually there was a French knight with my last name. I looked it up and his saying was "pensez forte!" which simply means Think Firmly. So that's somthing I've chosen to live."if everyone is thinking the same thing someone is not thinking." But one of my favorites: "A no uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a yes uttered merely to please, or worse, to avoid trouble." - Mohandas Gandhi. 5 out of 5 found this valuable. I think Uzzqub's first quote was Patton.Ulysees' is Theodore Roosevelt, I beleive. My Quotes (not all survival): "All religions, arts, and sciences are branches of the same tree"- Albert Einstein. "Dream as if you'll live forever; live as if you'll die today,"- James Dean. (Interperet as you like...) "I don't care what you beleive; just beleive it," Shepard Book in Serinity. (I'm not sure I agree.) Anything Edgar Allen Poe ever said or wrote...(I went to the Poe museam in Virginia once.) "Fear nothing, and you have nothing to fear,"- Myself. "Walk left side road, safe. Walk right side road, safe. Walk middle road, sooner or later: *squish* just like grape."- Mr. Myagi in The Karate Kid (original, d*mn it.) "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security," The United States Declaration of Independence. "Let me die in this old uniform in which I fought my battles. May God forgive me for ever having put on another,"- Benedict Arnold's last words. Do you find this valuable? |
