ZSDW Christmas Secret Santa!
Nov 2 2011, 12:59 PM EDT | Post edited: Nov 2 2011, 12:59 PM EDT
Everything in this thread is subject to change.

We've been here for 4 1/2 years now.

We've got the content. We've got the community.

Let's make this Christmas a ZSDW one!

This Secret Santa is only open to members who have been on the ZSDW for one and a half years to protect users.

The idea is that anyone interested will sign up and be given a person to buy a present for. There will be a set value (perhaps $20-$30). Feel free to exceed this value if you are feeling particularly generous.

I will message people privately telling them who they are buying presents for. Everyone who signs up WILL GET a present and WILL HAVE TO SEND one. Whilst you will know who you are buying for, you will not know who is buying for you.

If you have any qualms or concerns about people knowing your address you have two options:
1.) Message me privately if there is a certain user/users that you do not want to know where you live. I will pair you off with a user who you don't mind knowing your address.
2.) Get an PO box which you can have delivered to a location near you without having to give away a home address.

Any other ideas to increase safety please let me know.

Alright, on with the show!

Throw your name in this thread if you are interested!

I'm sorta interested... I may be a poor bastard, but it's Christmas.

Oh, and please, no one in europe/asia/oceania/africa/south america.... Nothing against them, but the shipping would kill me.

Edit- I meant please don't give me anyone from there, not don't let them participate.

This is open to everyone, however, people will be paired with people in their continents as closely as possible.

Majority here are USA/Europe with a small Australian minority. I see no problem working this out. =)

I like the idea, I have to say.

Now even IF I was eligible, I have to say there is NO way in hell I would give away my address. Hell, I dont even put that kind of stuff on my private facebook profile even though my friends on there are people I trust.

That said, a P.O. box should be how this gets done. Since I am not eligible, nor participating though, I wont be concerned about it.

Again, I like the idea though.
