Weapon of Choice

If you got to choose only one weapon to take with you in an emergency zombie situation, which weapon would you choose and why? Do you find this valuable?

I'm going to use a mini-gun because it shoots lots of boolits.

(just kidding)

Probably a SBR PS90. You can wear it slung under your shoulder and it will stay hidden behind a jacket.

If I had to narrow it down to a SINGLE weapon, I would probably go with the Mossberg 590A1 SPX. Why? Good sights for both buckshot and slugs, 9-shot capacity, M9 bayonet compatible, boringly reliable and tougher than nails. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Meh, LJ has the right idea. We've had a ton of these in the past but the last one died a while back.

I'd take my custom MAK 90 (Shown here)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mb48sBOC6M&feature=channel_video_title

It's an intimidating bit of fire power that would give me an edge over most of the locals who could cause trouble should any of the local trouble makers try and cause problems for me and my family.

It's reliable and gives me a ton of fire power at my finger tips. The 7.62x39 round is a proven man stopper as well as a pretty decent deer round within it's range limitations......I've used that round to hunt =).
I customized the gun with accessories I liked that fit my taste, so there's a bit of personality to the gun that make's me somewhat more attached to it than most other rifles.
Plus it's an AK, it's dead reliable. It's simple to work on (I could probably do a decent job of fixing darn near anything that goes wrong with it).

Pretty much any 12 gauge pump or semi-automatic shotgun would be fine, though my preference is the Remington 1100. They're reliable, easy to maintain, and capable of hunting/killing anything that walks on this Earth.
My other top choices would be a Remington 870 or Mossberg 500, though I've just fallen in love with the 1100 recently.

From my experience the 500 are smoother, my express jams after awhile

Which part? Using the words of really the only country singer I like (Paul Brants the other one) against me or you saying I'm mean?

My bare fists. Life has got me down far enough that if SWTHTF tomorrow, Ima need that satisfying crunch of breaking bones to bring me some joy. I don't suspect I'd last long at the moment, so I may as well go out having a bit of fun. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I would imagine Warfare 3 has something to do with his decision, though admittedly having gotten to fire a real one myself they are awesome, fun as hell in auto and great handling in semi.

No reason to hate on these threads. They ALWAYS pop up.

Personally, I'm a fan of my departments MP5's. Although, I would prefer the retractable stock as opposed to the fixed.

Out of my own collection? Easiily my AR.
