"I agree there's probably no use for something like that, but I also don't think you need to prove a use for something, to be allowed to have it. For instance I was married once... 'nuff said I think...lol.I agree, but when it comes to tools, there are are some that we do not need if we have others. If I have a drill, do I need a crank operated drill? No. I agree with you about like minded thinking tho. I'm not afraid to speak my mind, I don't think others should be either. Do you find this valuable? |

I usually don't agree with people, but I also know, I'm not always right. I may not respect a person's opinion, but I try my best to respect the person that has it... if that's warranted. If they present their opinion from a place of "higher than thou" I buck against them, whether I'm in agreement or not... it's a flaw I have...lol I find that there's a lot more original thinking in here than in "serious" forums. That's why no matter how many piss me off, I usually roll back around...hahaha Do you find this valuable? |

" It isn't a right, its a privilage son, you don't just get to say well, it says I can have a gun in the constitution, so I want a gun. That is why state laws were created."Good point !.....After all the constitution does say " the privilage of the peolple to keep and bear arms.....Huh?....What?....Uhmm ...it doesn't say privilage? : 0! You really need to get in touch with the US supreme court and inform them because they have found out that it IS a personal right Might as well straighten them about that state law thingy too because they have been confused about that for a long time thinking that a state law can't usup the US constitution Do you find this valuable? |

"You'll notice we agree then loki. I have stated that guns are tools, people kill people. And I think the pistol should not be outlawed, it makes a great home defense weapon. What I think is ridiculous is someone who has a fully automatic glock with a 40 round mag. There is no need for that with hunting nor home defense. It may be fun to have, but it is not necessary. "Doesn't matter if it's "necessary" its what the guy wants, he should be able to own it, you may take it for granted because you and the rest of the Americans on here can, but those who can't, but want it, would love to trade spots with you. My Glock mags have a cap of 10 rounds, max, any pistol can ONLY have a max of 10 rounds, would I jump at the chance to buy a 40 round mag for it? Abso-f.u.c.king-lutely, is it necessary? No, but that doesn't change the fact that I want one Do you find this valuable? |

"Good point !.....After all the constitution does say " the privilage of the peolple to keep and bear arms.....Huh?....What?....Uhmm ...it doesn't say privilage? : 0!I actually believe I know the constitution quite well. You obviously don't know what it means to reiterate, and what it means to read and comprehend. Maybe I should write it at 1st grade level for you? I'm a convicted felon. I want a handgun. The constitution gives me the right to own it, but oh wait I can't. Why not? Because I am a felon. My rights don't count anymore. That is why I say it is a privelage: privelages can be earned and taken away just as fast. Next time you want to mouth off to me filadog, grow a brain and read all my posts so I don't make you look like an idiot. Do you find this valuable? |

There's a difference between wanting and excessively lusting. How many people break into houses with AKs? Lol maybe in mexico, but why do you need an AK to take him down? Why couldn't you use your Glock? Its a matter of needs vs wants vs excessiveness. I have no problem with a guy owning an AK, but ONLY if he has the proper training and a correct background search. I have no problem with a guy owning an AK, but ONLY if he has the proper training and a correct background search."My answer is, why not own a 40 round mag? Also I cannot legally use a firearm to protect myself, hell, there have been people that were told by police they have opened themselves up to assault charges for hitting muggers with a f.u.c.k.i.n.g. grocery bag. So it doesn't matter if it's a 10 round mag or a 40, I cannot use it, my "need/want" for a 40 round mag is this, when I go out and take friends shooting what is more fun, taking a 5 round mag (For semi auto rifles, with a few exceptions) and having to reload every time, or taking a 30+ round mag and blasting away? (Keeping in mind I plink, not shoot for 100% accuracy) And I agree with the training and background search, I am 100% opposed to all forms of gun control, except licencing, my PAL says the RCMP has deemed me fit to possess and use a firearm, it also says I have received proper safety training in the use, storage, transportation and care of firearms, it's also another piece of ID in my wallet, important if in, for example, BC, where you need 2 pieces of photo ID to buy alcohol. I have my .45 in the night stand regardless of what weapon they have or how many of them there are, because I have the confidence and training to deal with it. If I didn't have the training but had the Ak and just started emptying the mag, that doesn't make me equally equipped to the criminal, it makes me less equipped than the criminal. "Would you deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan with solely a 9mm?"That is completely different! Haha! That's a civi for you. I need my assault rifle, and grenades in afghanistan because I am at war and constantly under attack. Are you constantly under attack here in your homeland? Are you dodging mortar fire and rpg barrages and spurattic AK fire from different directions every day for 18 months at a time? That was stupid to go there son, that was completely stupid. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Besides, you said you could just as easily take down a guy brandishing an AK with a 9mm, why should location matter what weapon YOU brandish. Carn: That applies to FIREARMS, not grenades and and C4, meaning I see no problem in anyone who is law abiding owning an AK, but with the goddamn liberals putting gun control that limits ONLY civvies it makes no sense. And licencing is a measure put in place.... Do you find this valuable? |

"And I agree with the training and background search, I am 100% opposed to all forms of gun control, except licencing,"Now this I disagree with to a point. Guns are dangerous items not just to you but those you live around. So there needs to be measures in place so that some yob doesn't drag home the latest in explosive munitions and vent a house. For the most part I am A-OK with most guns but some have zero defensive applications or uses aside from Deadly Viagra. Like I have said I don't care for banning weapons but some do need to stay out of civilian hands. For the rest I say make people take a training course on safe use, cleaning, and defensive tactics and then let them buy any weapon under the permit they recieve that allows for ownership, transport, and CCW of the weapons under the permit.
