Minecraft thread.

By virtue of it having zombies, being a meme, and singlehandedly the greatest game ever made, I decided to give minecraft a thread.

You see, minecraft is a game about survivalism against the odds, and creating society despite great peril. You can see why this may apply to zombies, aside from the fact that there are actually zombies in the game.

So, if you have any cool minecraft related stuff, post it here. Anything you made? Any cool videos? Send links. I'll start.

I have something funny (yet kinda heartbreaking for me ).

When Minecraft got closer to it's full release I started a world hoping to have it be there when it released.

It was in a swamp and I had over 500 clay blocks and wanted to build a house.

Over the course of my work I found an underwater cave and in that cave (under water still) were 2 ravines in an X pattern.
Dotting said ravine were Abandoned mineshafts so naturally i was kinda ecstatic that I had such a resource not 30 blocks away from my doorstep.
Further exploration revealed 3 more ravines (one of which went down to bedrock and Void).

So I finally got all the supplies I needed to build my stuff (massive brick keep, garden, and a redstone wheat farm) and BOOM 1.0.0 hits and:

My swamp biome turns into a snow one. :c
My crops died because the water froze.
And I got froze undergound during my Ravine adventure.

Well anyway I get back and begin somewhat enjoying my snowy Keep. I salvage the crops thanks to some Jack-O-Lanturn light and I am set.

Except I am now out of bricks so I go get more.

I find a nice open beach at the end of the snow biome and begin to crack what had to be the biggest freaking deposit of clay ever.
But when I got to surface ice had formed over me!

I died :c

Then further exploration revealed that ice was overtaking every non-desert biome on the map.

I had to scrap my world and it's Inception-like ravines :(

And remember folks, caveins are a thing of the past, so just dig as wide and tall as you want.

ah yes but if your going from below the lava it now drips down through the block below it so you have some warning and so does water

I will admit, if we have a minecraft style apocalypse, we are screwed. Between the zombies, the creepers, and the ressurected skeletons riding on giant spiders, I think we can agree on the fate of humanity in that situation.

I remember what happened LAST time I tried punching down a tree, so I assume that option's out the window... So yes, zed-poc is now for wimps. Mine-poc is a true test of manliness.
