How could dale have known they went out? Dont you remember that it was Shane, Rick and Carl that were at the farmhouse? The rest of them didn't make it to the house until well after Otis and Shane left

Fila: "Dale really contributes very little if anything to the group and is a trouble maker..and how does he "know" Shane shot Otis anyway?"Funny that's what i think of Shane. Dale has done very little most weaker guys wouldn't do. While getting rid of the guns was stupid you now have Shane the fruitcake armed. Dale should quite keeping secrets and tell the camp what he's seen. As for how he knows wether Shane shot Otis I imagine it's a guess built from all the crap Dale does know about Shane. And he is bang on the money. And Shane's reaction tells as much. "When Shane risked his life for the medical suppies what was Dale doing?...setting on the roof of his camper ...why didn't he volunter to go along? If he had he could have driven the truck in to pick them up when they got trapped" Shane and Rick and Carl went on to continue the search and told the rest of the group to get back to camp. Dale was among them and not being adept at navigating the forest or hunting it was a wise move. "Only thing I have seen him ever do is to try to convince people to do stupid stuff that comes close to getting them killed...like telling the girl not to carry her pistol." The suicidal girl that he views as a daughter? The plan Shane also went along with? The one who almost vented someone after DISOBEYING orders? "He is willing to maybe have his people and even his wife and boy die because he is not willing to do what it takes to stay on the safety of the farm and stand up to Hershal." Who helped Carl out of the goodness of his heart and has thus far been very (some could say overly) accomodating. Hershel represents in-depth knowledge of the area and of medicine that they can use. It would be foolish to eliminate that instead of using it. Do you find this valuable? |

"Hershal should be the one asking the group to stay or that he can stay with them. A good leader would have been worried what is best for his group and explained to Hershal that they are there to stay. They can get along but that depends on Hershal who needs to get it in his head that he is no longer in charge." Why should he? He's sitting pretty already. So hey go on and stay. But don't expect him to be so accomodating in the future. You lose your medical guy either way. Hershel was clear at the start that as soon as Carl was able the group was expected to leave. No excuses for second thoughts now. Fila I'm sorry but when you are the opposing force you can't say that getting along depends on the other guy. ------ Hershel expects us to leave so yeah I'm gone. What does that house have that I can just take when the most valuable thing in it is the doctor? Better for them to stay mobile. Your actions may work if the land is the goal but the doctor is what Rick needs. Can't force that one. Do you find this valuable? |

"If you do as Hershall wants you to do and that is to leave and your wife is having a baby in a ditch with out a doctor it is because you have elimnated your medical guy by your leaving , I see no signs that Hershal wants the grou[p to leave and go with them. If the group does as Hershal wants they certainly deprive thierselves of not only a Doctor but also a safe place to stay and are back on the road If they stay maybe Hershal won't help them [though I think he could be pesuaded if the alternative was Him hitting the road] but even if he doesnt they have a sfare place to stay An armed and more powerful larger group I think would [and should ] do what it takes to survive and would not leave a safe place just because it's pre Z owner tells them to if he doesn't have anything to back it up with.. ' Rick jumps through Hershal hoops begging him to stay because he is weak and not up to what this new world requires people to do. He is willing to risk the groups survival on the whims of an old man that I think has proved he is out of touch with reality, Ricks actons just empowered Hershal more, starts with not wearing guns and then ends up with Zombies in the Barn. Rick does nothing about it and pretty soon he is bringing zombies back to camp like pets for Hershal to keep Don't forget Hershal who is supposed to be smart never bothered to tell the group as they risked thier lives looking for Sophie that he had a fresh girl zombie in the barn that might be her. As a Doctor Hershal has some vaule but I think he is showing that he cant be trusted and is dangerously delusional as well as controlling Do you find this valuable? |

Even though Herschel is suffering from his own demons, I like him. He has been very hospitable whether out of fear or generosity or both. The only real reason why he had asked them to leave is out of fear for his zombie kin and friends locked in the barn. I do not think he was really that worried about a hostile take over or he would have kept their weapons in his possession. Herschel needed to see what Shane did to the Sweet Corn neighbor but they should have picked someone he was not familiar with or did not like. Maybe, that would have allowed him to rethink his position on keeping the undead for a future impossible cure. However, maybe even that would not have snapped Herschel out of his shock since two of the zombies were immediate family members - his son and wife.Except maybe for zombification by nano-technology, I do not think anyone who suffered from Zombification can be fully cured regardless of the archetype. If cured, the Zombieland and 29 Days Later zombies would most likely suffer from extensive brain damage. Do you find this valuable? |

" Don't forget Hershal who is supposed to be smart never bothered to tell the group as they risked thier lives looking for Sophie that he had a fresh girl zombie in the barn that might be her. They stated on the Talk Show that Otis and Jimmy handled the barn zombies so it is possible Herschel did not know. And Otis did not have time to tell Herschel because he became Zombie Sushi before he had a chance to tell him. The inconsistency may be from huge deviations in the original story line. Shane is also showing delusional and controlling behavior. Just before arming the band for the undead massacre, it sounded like Shane was taking over farm management. Do you find this valuable? |

Rick is the most understanding man in the world and Shane is a douche bag. Herschel is nuts, his daughter is hot , and I want to be Glen-enough said!!!! Oh and I'd do all of the women in both groups.

Fila: "I see no signs that Hershal wants the grou[p to leave and go with them."You also see no signs that staying will change that. You lose either way. "If the group does as Hershal wants they certainly deprive thierselves of not only a Doctor but also a safe place to stay and are back on the road" If they don't they also deprive themselves of a doctor (which is the goal here) and get nothing but dirt with no knowledge of what it contains. "If they stay maybe Hershal won't help them [though I think he could be pesuaded if the alternative was Him hitting the road] but even if he doesnt they have a sfare place to stay" Be my ***** or walk? Walk. Easily. And they already had a safe place and lost it. Plus with Shane in the picture no place is safe. "An armed and more powerful larger group I think would [and should ] do what it takes to survive and would not leave a safe place just because it's pre Z owner tells them to if he doesn't have anything to back it up with." The place is safe because of the way Hershel worked. The group had a safe place before and botched it up. "Rick jumps through Hershal hoops begging him to stay because he is weak and not up to what this new world requires people to do." Weak or smart? Because I have to tell you your way is deadly. Rick is being smart by not going out of his way to make enemies. What the new world requires is not set in stone. It never will be set in stone. "Ricks actons just empowered Hershal more, starts with not wearing guns and then ends up with Zombies in the Barn. Rick does nothing about it and pretty soon he is bringing zombies back to camp like pets for Hershal to keep" Not the wisest of moves but I'm going to bet Rick had a purpose. What's she look like? What's a "fresh" zombie? Am I psychic? "As a Doctor Hershal has some vaule but I think he is showing that he cant be trusted and is dangerously delusional as well as controlling" I find that absurdly funny that you are talking about being untrustworthy and controlling as negatives when you are talking of taking over the entire location and controlling it all. xD Do you find this valuable? |

""Don't forget Hershal who is supposed to be smart never bothered to tell the group as they risked thier lives looking for Sophie that he had a fresh girl zombie in the barn that might be her."If Hershal had seen a young girl wandering down the road by his back 40 pasture do you think he would have been negligent not to tell the group about it as they risk thier lives looking for a young girl ? I find it hard to believe that Hershal who seems to take a large part in everything on the farm wouldn't know that they just caught a new zombie that was a young girl not from the neighborhood...he seemed to know most of the zombies in the barn. Remember even if it was Jimmy that caught the zombies he certainly knew too that the group was looking for a young girl, like the one he just captured, Do you find this valuable? |

Considering the massive number of zombies there are I would not read to much into not mentioning one zombie out of all the rest.Local or not. Do you find this valuable? |

If I were looking to capture a zombie I'd go for the one's who are alone. Managable numbers. Do you find this valuable? |

I have to say Filadog you are right when it comes to surviving. But the main reason they didn't do all these things is simply that they have morals and values. You lose all your morals and you're not much different then the undead.

"AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS SHANE IS IN THE RIGHT????? He is doing everything he can to keep the group alive!!!!!!!!!!"What he is doing is causing issues. His actions in some situations are perfectly acceptable but in this situation it isn't. But that's bound to happen at times to everyone so while it's a problem it's an understandable one. The issue I personally have with Shane is his reasoning and his mental health. His actions one could argue is not driven by reasoning and rational thought but by emotional upheaval. Does he want to keep the camp safe? Okay fine. Why was it important to rip open the gates to the walker barn? Why did he waste ammo noisely announcing to Hershel, the group, and every walker within earshot that the world is different? Why was it important to threaten Dale with the very thing Dale accused him of? Why is he so concerned with safety when he was only a little while ago planning to leave? What does it mean when you draw and hold a bead on your "best friend" in the cover of the woods before all of this stuff even happened? Even without context some of those do not indicate a stable person and they and his motivations cause more concern for me than his actions. Do you find this valuable? |
