does anybody else remember the tripod mounted M-2 that they showed when Rick fled into the tank after he entered Atlanta. It had a a belt loaded with several rounds. I would have found a way to bring it along. I have also seen several ambulances get passed without being searched.

They could have owned Atlanta with a few trucks and hours of live action Grand Theft Auto style free for all.

The survivalist noticing lack of radio chatter and rumors of a plague grabs his gear and rushes into his heavily stocked bunker never to be seen again. The End

^^^ The survivalist version of TWD.

Sound fun and entertaining? ;)

This doesn't really have anything to do with The Walking Dead but the guy who plays Glenn had a minor role in the Big Bang Theory Do you find this valuable?

My biggest fault of the whole series is in episode one when the officer clicks the "safety" off on his glock. (face palm)

But has anyone noticed that they're starting to fall into the same "headshots are easy and everyone can do them real fast with pistols" trap as every action movie ever? I want to see some misses...especially by freaking Andrea when her life depends on it. Haha

He was lucky to have gotten away alive by himself.....Lugging a 50 cal that weighs over 125 lbs unloaded?
Really how practical would a gun like that be for them anyway?

I think what many people forget, and I'm guilty of it myself sometimes, is that this show is NOT about how to survive the Zombie apocalypse or for that matter how to survive anything but rather I think a show on how people interact with each other under pressure .
The fact that there are Zombies isn't really all that important other then a way to show case the characters in the story.
I believe the series makes an effort not to have the characters to be very "survival" aware because they want them to come across as what is thought of as ordinary people since that is what the show is about.

Have to say I was almost in the same boat as Deranged before the last episode. OMG! Lori's having a baby, but no one knows if it is Rick's or Shane's! Then Rick capped the infected 12 year old with a .357, and I thought "Now that's the Sauce!" I think all of the arguments about Shane being right, or Rick being right boil down to the idea of extreme pragmatism vs. humanism. Do we take care of ourselves, or do we take care of everyone? At least all in our tribe? How big is our tribe? Pragmatism is great in the short term, but humanity has survived and thrived as a result of cooperation. Shane's actions are very pragmatic, but not very wise. Rick's actions may not be very wise, either, but they are inclusive. I like Fila's take that the show is really about how average people act under duress. Maybe that is why it seems like a soap opera so much. With zombies. I think my favorite character is Darrell. His stock is going up all the time..... Do you find this valuable?

Shane found it easy to off the strangers who staggered out of the barn. When Sophia came out only Rick had the nads to take action and do what was necessary and put one of his big .44 cal pieces of lead through Sophia's head. Do you find this valuable?

Um I think Rick packs a .357 and truthfully I kinda wonder how that'll impact him.

We can argue that yes she was a zombie but I think Rick'll be seeing that face in his dreams for a long time.
He'll definitly keep a closer eye on Carl.

95. Walking Dead Episode for 2/12/2012

1: I still think Shanes a dangerous variable. Unpredictable and dangerous. Nothing new. Moving on.

2: Hershel turned out like I figured he would.

3: WHY THE HELL ARE YOU BURNING THEM SO CLOSE TO YOUR SETTLEMENT?!

4: Why burn them at all? You;re surrounded by a giant trash can.

5: Lori unwittingly broke the cardinal rule If it's in the road with your car barreling towards it it's either a raider who wants you to stop or a Z that doesn't care. Make them into fender ketchup and move on.

6: You already sent out some searchers for Hershel and they know the deal. Send no more.

7: Totally feel for Darrel. Got shot twice over Sophia and she wound up dead. Guy needs a break.

8: Yeah saw trouble from those two jackoffs the second they opened their mouths.

9: So did Rick. Definitly earned back some Badass Bonus Points.

Biggest cardinal rule of all: Never go anywhere alone. The car got turned into a F-16 because the other person that could have been reading the map wasn't there. I knew from the start that was going to have a ugly ending.. And Rick definitely got some points for going Josey Wales on those two. That act right there is what's going to convince Herschel to keep them around. And I think Rick convinced Herschel even if he thinks he has no reason to keep going to at least go on for his family. Carmack pretty much said what I think.

1: same

2: Herschals turn about justifies Shanes actions to some degree, not sure I like that. I rather detest Shane. He reminds me of all the bullies in school. Ready to lie in any way that is self serving.

4: So long as the wind is steady away from camp, who cares. But yeah, just drag them far enough not to smell the rot. Then again, we still dont know all the vectors for the disease.

6: Right on

7: Darrel is almost my favorite character nowadays.

8 and 9: Right on again.

10: When is Glen going to man up? He is pretty bad ass in his own way. Perhaps I identify with him too much, he goes all squishy with women.

Well I figured that Shane's "success" would be a two-edged sword. Hershel is now fully convinced that the dead are in fact dead. However he no longer feels any hope for the future and sees no reason to do anything for it.

This was a case where the result was not favorable.

As for Glen...damn it. Maggies is hot but she's nuttier than a squirrel turd. He's tough but jeez he needs some spine.

To Carnack's response...

1) My position on Shane still stands - a danger to the survivalist community. Shane fits the role of bully, or raider. People have survived without being a total arse.

2) Herschel appears to be coming to his senses and so far, I think he is worth saving.

3 - 4) I say dump the bodies in a location that no longer poses a threat to the farm nor sensed (out of sight and smell). Why waste resources and send up unintentional smoke signals.

5. Lori also broke the two person rule. Except for Shane, you should always have someone with you to watch your back. In Lori's case, a navigator.

6. Agreed, no need to send more especially since Glenn and Rick have a mostly competent record. In addition, soon there may be three once they find Herschel (if he is alive).

7. Agreed, Daryl needs a break. He may be acting like he does not care but he is very angry and sad with Sophia's outcome. He also feels bad for Carol.

8. Yep especially after they started asking about the farm. What irritates me, Glenn did not cover the fat man with the shotgun. Rick shouldn't have had to turn around to shoot the fat man. Did Rick shoot both men in the head or smash in their heads? If not, they may have zombie issues since transformation can happen in minutes or hours?

9. Yep and I think Andrew Lincoln loved it. Where else can you act like a cowboy then in an one horse town bar?

What I like is what Rick said about human life in general. Death has always been there. As long as there is a place of refuge and the basic building blocks of life remain, life will go on. Although in the universe of The Walking Dead, everyone should sleep in an open bay with a guard or individual rooms. All someone needs is to die in their sleep from a heart attack, aneurysm, or stroke, and then you have a zombie laying down next to you.
