New Game: Trade, Buy, Sell, Train, Get Creative!

Here is just a little game I came up with for everyone:Step 1) create your profile, you're allowed 1 rifle/shotgun, 1 Sidearm, 2 Melee weapons. Step 2) add things you really own or would like to such as radios, MOLLE gear, knives, books, MREs, your favorite canned food, dried food, water, flavored drinks, alcohol, tabacco, etc. Step 3) You are in what was once a carnival ground, now completely abandoned and rusted from the lack of maintenance due to the zombie apocalypse. Here is where you set up shop, and here is where you get the goodies you want. Step 4) Barter, trade, sell, get training in exchange for goods, do whatever you want to get what you need to create the loadout you want and need. Trade as many times as you want. Let the games begin, have fun! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Realism makes the game more fun, so no outrageous crap.

Also, detail any training that you have such as martial arts, military training, weapons training at individual schools etc.

This could be fun...there should perhaps be an item limit? an ammount people can bring to thier shop. Ifnot why don't people simply bring everything they'll ever need. Maybe limit it to one backpack worth of good per person and you can trade and exchange services to gather more over time. This way people are forced to trade as they can't carry everything they need :) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"This could be fun...Good idea and thank you for reviving this thread, I thought it was dead for sure. What do you suggest? 10 items of food, 10 personal items? More or less? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Interesting idea, but you might want to hash out some actual rules for your game, like you'd find in a milton bradley box. Without specifics, people will keep pushing boundaries, poking holes in ideas, etc.

Ok as per Zombots request:1) 1 rifle/shotgun/crossbow, 1 Sidearm, 2 Melee weapons 2) If you are Military/LEO or you have the correct paperwork/permits, your rifles may include ARs, AKs, or other military firearms. No grenade launchers, bazookas, RPGs, flamethrowers, LAW rockets, etc. 3) you can trade whatever you want so that you have any amount of any weapon, such as more than one rifle, etc, but you must trade them as you are only allowed to carry 100lbs. 4) Every person is allowed 15 cannned goods, 10 MREs, 5 bottles of alcohol, 20 bags of dried food etc to trade. 5) other things up to trade are backpacks, clothing, etc. 6) training can be exchanged for goods or other training but the person must list of their training extensively such as black belts in martial arts, medals or devices in military training etc. 7) Salt, Gas, Water are all tradeable as well. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Alright, going on my current situation, here it is. If I was living in Ireland, things would look a lot better, but I haven't got a fecking clue how to use French armaments, so meh. 1. Crossbow, PAMAS, Fireaxe, a large knife. Crossbows can be bought in certain supermarkets. PAMAS is the French version of the Beretta, the cops have thousands of them, as so they're easily scavenged. There are fireaxes in quite a few places in quite a few buildings I frequent, and knives of all sorts are sold all over the place. 2. In terms of books, I have Arrian's Campaigns of Alexander, Plato's Republic, a decent number of novels and more law books at random. In terms of canned goods, I'd probably go for tom-moz soup, 4 bottles of some Bordeaux wine and a bottle of Irish whiskey (which is exactly what I have right now alcohol wise), and mixed dried foods, mostly Koka noodles (I think you lads call it cup ramen?). 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Alright, here goes.1. AR-15 in .556. I love 7.62, but much larger/heavier rounds. 9mm, maybe S&W M&P. 3-5 LB Mace, 3-4 feet in length. 7" KABAR Tanto (with no serrations) 2. I am AD Navy. I've got training in computers (Which won't mean much later on). I also have training to train. Anything I can learn, I can teach, and I have the class/NEC for it. I'm a quick learner. I'm a decent shot (Earned pistol/rifle Sharpshooter on the only qual exercise I was allowed to shoot in, due to money), I've been trained in basic takedowns, been OC sprayed, Tear-gased, riot control exercises, etc. CPR Qualified. Basic medical and firefighting qualified. Oh, and the ultimate survival guide...def bringing that. 4. An array of raviolis, refried beans, and canned broccoli. 10 assorted MREs. A bottle of Stoli, a bottle of Grey Goose, 2 bottles of Rum, and a bottle of SOCO. Dried food would be granola, trail mix, a couple packets of ramen, horchata mix (hellz yes). 5. Padded Mesh motorcycle jacket/pants, riding gloves with reinforced knuckles, seabag, dufflebag, thick azz backpack (for an oversized laptop). And a dozen 2 liter jugs of water. (Yes, I actually have all of it except the AR, which is coming in the near future.) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm assuming I would have scavenged a pump action shotgun and a 357 revolver(only type of gun i've practiced with) at some point, and I have a 3" folding knife and a piece of PVC pipe with tape wrapped around one end and a lead weight at the other. For trade I have a paracord belt, two space sets of lock picks, a zippo and 5 disposable lighters, and a few dozen pocketknives/multitools. I also have 12 double packs of ramen, powdered lemonade/fruit punch in individual packages, 2 crank-to-charge flashlights, a crank to USB charger, AA to USB charger, Solar to AA charger, 20 NiMh AA batteries, an Ereader /MP3 player with weapons, survival, chem, scifi, explosives, and medical ebooks(copied onto paper for traded goods), paper, and a few hundred bandaids. training: I pick locks, have taken some engineering and electronics classes. "3-5 LB Mace, 3-4 feet in length."A mace? Haha, that's brilliant. Too bad I don't have anything of real value to trade for it except my booze. Which I won't give up except for something truly exceptional. I have to live up to my nickname and reputation, after all. Do you find this valuable? |

"Maybe you guys could reach a compromise on the mace. Throw in some food or something like that."Considering I'm having this mace custom built as we speak, I'd be loathe to part with it unless I found myself in some seriously dire straits. Do you find this valuable? |
