MRE review

This was a good review, and I like MRE's to store and eat. I currently have 58 stocked up and will be buying more before the first of the year. Do you find this valuable?

What brand are they? There's a ton of civilian MRE knock-offs out there. Do you find this valuable?

Thanks JunkCollector, it was a fun review to do.

@John234: It is a repackaged military MRE, using all military specific items. As titled in the linked article, it's meal #15 from the 2011 MRE selection. The only thing different about this MRE from a military issued one is the external packaging.

Ah, I see. Some of the civilian MREs have really tiny, but noticeable differences. Spoons are one of the commonly cited ones, lol. Do you find this valuable?

I just linked the ZSDW MRE article into the first section of the review, as it contains more MRE specific info than my review of the above meal does. I also cross-referenced the MRE page back to my review article, linked on the list.

Nice job on this one too, LJ. I like the slide show, but why the hell didn't I get a hot assistant in my package ; ) LOL!

This MRE actually sounds pretty good, although I'm not a fan of MRE's, I think I may have to get a couple of these.

Do what have an "after action" report on this meal?

=) Thanks Ironhand.

I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of MRE meals either, but this one really is pretty decent. CriticalSurvival's price is very good on it too.

How do I politely and maturely word the "after action" report...! Well, to be frank, this meal was fairly balanced and with the loaf of snack bread, was fairly high in fiber. I've heard that some MRE meals can be constipating, while others causing a mild case of the runs - this meal did neither. I would say it's digestibility is very good.
