The Post-Apocalyptic City Scenario - You're the Boss!
Dec 14 2011, 3:09 AM EST | Post edited: Dec 14 2011, 3:09 AM EST
Alright, I have spent the night composing a very elaborate scenario, not all of which is yet revealed.

After reading you will see 6 key issues you must address as leader of the camp.

If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask.

If you can't see it written in the above page then don't make something up. Ask and ye shall find.

Aside from that enjoy this disaster of a scenario! I honestly don't think I could correct it myself!

If you wish to do anything which is not listed as an option, go ahead! I will do my best to give you information regarding firearms available, vehicles etc, but only on request.

Enjoy everyone,

Marsden

Let me start of by saying well done Marsden for putting this together!

Secondly, I can't wait to answer, but can I explain how I'd change how it was run tp fit my answer???

Glad you liked what's been done so far.

Start your own thread and I can guide your story from there.

If you want some help I can divide your powers up for you:

1.) You can use your council to write new laws. After a law has been written the council will vote upon and pass it. (You are currently guaranteed 5/7 votes in favour of your new laws in the council.)

2.) You can try controlling supply/demand forces and various economic techniques such as minimum wage, scrapping the ration token system, doubling the amount of tokens paid, doubling the value of a token, giving all industries to the free market, taking them into the responsibility of the Council etc. Any action which you want to attempt to do, you can do.

3.) You can be diploamatic and trade/talk with any of the above factions. (With varying degrees of success.)

So, in short,

YES!

You can write the laws, if you don't like the system of running the city, write a law and change it!

It is open to everyone! SGTGerman has posted his first plan here:

http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/thread/4815152/

Check it out, criticise it, suggest changes, what would you do differently?

Good question. I'll answer it in the article.

EDIT:

OK At present you have:
an estimated 20-60 pistols andrevolversof variousvarieties with an estimated 400-600 rounds.
12 shotguns of various types with 400 shells.
30 rifles (10 of which are automatic) with 1200 rounds of ammunition.
A scavenged machine gun from an abandoned military truck with 50ish rounds left.
The pistols and revolvers are privately owned and many are civilians do not declare their ownership of firearms. It is difficult to determine how many of them have access to small arms.

Damn fine job, compliment coming your way.

I'll compose you a sub-scenario which only applies to you based upon your choices so far.

I won't feature my own thread, but thanks for the comment. If another mod sees fit to do so it is up to them.

So we have gone from 'can we' - 'how we will we' survive, to how we will rule?

Wow! Is this an indication of increased confidence in our abilities, foresight etc. or merely a surge of optimism?

Observing with interest. . . .

I'd like to know how much ammunition Raven Point wants in exchange for their help with the raiders. I'm very tempted by their offer.

Also, I'd like the details of my current trade agreement with Raven Point regarding the porradge.

As per request the information is now up there.

One of them is done as a letter design. Let me know what you think of it. Would you prefer it all kept on one page?

I thought the letter would create a bit more realism to the experience of running a city.

I like it, thanks.

I'd also like to ask how many unemployed are currently in the city.

250 people in total.
191 are employed.
There are 28 children who are in eduation.

This means that 31 people are unemployed, 12 of these are due to medical conditions, age, etc. The other 19 are unemployed and living off benefits.
