What would you have in your Altoids survival kit?

Altoid survival kits are now a common topic in survival packing. Being able to fit some of your BOB in a tiny container seems great to me. What would you put in your Altoids survival kit?

Hmmm...You could make a Fire kit: -matches (the wooden "strike anywhere" kind) -cotton wadding or other tinder -flint/steel or magnesium A small first aid kit: -bandaids -neosporin tube (i think that would fit, at least) -iodine -razors -tweezers -water purification tabs Or it could be medicine-specific: -aspirin -pennicilin (anti-biotics) -personal meds -digestive aids/anti-nausea Or, just in general: -fish hooks -fishing line/twine hmm...now that I get to thinking about it, I need to get me a few of these LoL...thanks Kayo! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. I made one after watching a couple of You-Tube videos on Altoids kits. Mine includes:2 band aids 3 alcohol wipe (fire or cuts) 2 single use pack of Tylenol 1 Razor blade (single sided) 1 Super Glue (single use) 2 Eye glass cleaner wipe (because I wear glasses) 1 Mini Bic lighter 1 Flash light (single LED) 1 Imodium AD (2 pack) $20 cash (3-5's, 5-1's) 2 Sticks of gum (Spearmint) I keep it in the bag I use for college. Do you find this valuable? |

For some reason alot of people think its okay to put a condum filled with water in the tin let me just say this...No can you imagine how wierd it would be to just "Oh I'm thirsty" right in the middle of public... to make maters even worse some people can't stand the taste of water and put milk in them instead i think thats enough about that.

If you look up altoid survival kit on google you will see videos of people putting water and other liquids in condoms and in small ziplock bads.

I'm tempted to write up an article for the revisions the kit has seen. especially since the article was originally written about two weeks short of two years ago. Do you find this valuable? |
