1. RE: disabling a zombie

"you forgot that also shooting a zombie in the leg will cause a blow back therefore the zombie would lose balance and fall over... but preferably i would shoot the zombie in the head, it finishes the job much faster"I'd call into the question the idea of "blow back." It'd require a very powerful round to cause the zombie to fall backwards. However, I do support the idea of a shot to the leg breaking a bone and making the zombie fall. That's pretty feasible. Then you pretty much made a zombie landmine.

"Then you pretty much made a zombie landmine. "I don't think so, it would slow it down enough to remove the threat with a smaller lighter calibre. I too question the blow back unless right at a joint, but I DO think it would cause the zed to fall Do you find this valuable? |

Itll be on the ground maybe crawling. If theres a swarm behind someone they might get grabbed. If you disable you should kill it immediately. Or just run but it might screw over someone else

If they are crawling on the ground that makes it easier to get a good second shot, or to finish it with a melee weapon and save ammo., or to run over them from the safety of a 4 wheel drive. Most people over estimate how good they shoot and how hard it is to shoot a moving target in the head or at all. If crippling a zombie allows me and mine to get away, it becomes someone else's problem, just as if I evade a zombie is it my fault if that same zombie attacks someone two days later? Not to my mind set it doesn't. Do you find this valuable? |

Disable first, dispatch if and when time permits. The mission objective may not allow one the time to dispatch a zombie. Im sure you can think of a number of scenarios where you would rather move on to an objective than worry about a zombie landmine. Here is a simple one, kill a zombie you just disabled or go after the zombie that is a hundred feet away attacking your loved one. Now about landmines.....sick thinking time..... supposing the head could live on without the body.... decapitate and scatter heads as raider deterrents? Do you find this valuable? |

"Why do you wish to disable a zombie?. . for what. . . See if it gets better. . . Save it to play with later. . .:D For serious, though, it might be easier or faster to take a swing at a leg than a head, and you might as well know where to do it. Do you find this valuable? |
