First of all welcome. Now to your list Ah..no food but beef jerky? that will make you sick. Or did you plan on eating the pot and tobacco with ketchup? Dont plan on finding and hunting food, thats when game usually becomes scarce . 2 pounds of Maryjane? for pain relief?? you would be better off with aspirin or ibuprofin, it wont dull the senses, its less bulky and for the amount of relief weighs less. You have 3 plus pounds of gatorade mix..I would ditch the gallon jug of gatorade, thats 8.5 pounds you dont need to carry. Dog leash?? Do you find this valuable? |

"First of all welcome. Not to mention an ounce of Mary-Jane is like a sandwich bag full. 2 pounds would probably be a potatosack full. I would suggest varying your food diet from Beef Jerky, sure it doesn't need to be cooked, but **** it will get annoying after a couple of days. Going to assume you know how to use the Katana and Bow, but still get as much practice as you can with them. Do you find this valuable? |

Thanks for the welcome.I intend to expand on my pantry. Along with the BoB will be a supplies bag. Tobacco is for trade, I don't smoke tobacco. Now I understand the reasons for not smoking my weed. However most people will overlook the analgesic properties when you extract the CBD(Cannabidiol) from the buds so you can make a tincture from the oil extract. To extract you soak in the everclear, strain several times, and boil the alcohol off. Being careful with an open flame so you don't set your materials on fire. CBD is in higher quantities when the cannabis plant has been pollinated and are now producing seeds in the flower stage of the plant. The seeds are to reproduce and allow me to extract the oils from them(I am still researching the extraction method for this). The oil from these seeds is one of the best lubricators and is good for treating wood of whatever tools you might create. So if I scrap the 2lbs and transport a mason jar of oil and seeds. The 1 gallon has a handle. And will also serve for water retrieval when I start to treat it. Will be looking into that more. The dog leash is for the dog. She's small but a good alarm and can be trained to help me hunt small game. The leash is retractable so I could use it to hand fish as a reel. With the clip I can also create a snare. Thanks for questioning my reasoning, it refines well. Do you find this valuable? |

"I've been a bit lax with my bow in recent times due to work, but I very much enjoy my Browning compound bow. The katana I am practicing by myself and searching for a place to learn kendo. Do you find this valuable? |

Dried fruit, canned food, freeze-dried food and the much-maligned MRE will all serve to keep you alive and not fed up of jerky.I would suggest getting your hands on a machete, a splitting axe and a felling axe, to provide firewood and cut through dense vegetation. A water bladder or two woulsn't go amiss here either, as would some method of purifying water, such as tablets or filters. A couple of 500ml water bottles would allow you to make up the gatorade, but have it in much more managable units, and a gallon of the stuff is a bit much. Anyway, a few questions: >How is the salt being stored? >How is the sugar being stored? >Is the dog leash for your dog, and if so, how will you feed him/her? >You say two knives. Can you be a bit more precise (e.g. full tang KA-BAR)? >I don't see a baisc first aid kit. Weed will help numb pain, but it won't bandage a laceration. >Do you have anywhere to sleep, such as a bivvy bag? >Why no methods of communication? >FIsh hooks, fishing line and snare wire are brilliant stuff. Why don't you have any? Do you find this valuable? |
