My Zombie survival plan for Washington state
Jan 22 2012, 9:01 PM EST
Ok, I live in a town that has at least 17,000 people living in it. Me and my buddy refine our plan every time we hang out. Here is what we got. So, the zombie epidemic begins, I get my shot gun, SKS, 9 mm, and of course, a machete or anything for close/silent fighting. I then make my way to my friends house where we already have supplies. enough canned food and bottled water to last at the most to 4 days. While those 4 days are going on, me and him with whoever else happens to be close to us that we trust will be hunkered down in his house. Once the 4 days are up, a lot of people have probably left, died, or joined the zombie ranks. That is when we start organizing our looting of houses and stores. then begin a farm in the back yard to provide our own food, make a rain catcher (It rains almost every day here), and keep our area safe from other looters and zombies. The key is silence, Living people and zombies a like are attracted by noise. Stick with close ranged when facing 1-2 zombies. Only fire your gun when it is last resort or you are away from your base of operations. That is the main idea of my zombie survival plan.

However, there are a few problems I see. The main thing is time. Depending on the fact that most people will be dead or gone in 4 days is risky. If you can survive for that long, I find it plausible that a fair amount of other people can as well. I wouldn't want to risk looting houses and stores during the initial stages, lest you run into a very armed and very pissed owner. If you can expand your supplies to last you for a longer period, I think you would be better off. Also, not that it's overly important, but what kind of shotgun and 9mm do you have? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

The 4 days of food is as of this moment, we are planning on getting a larger supply to last a few weeks.we add to it when ever we can. Because me and him have thought of the very thing of going into a store or house and run into a another person seeking to survive. If they think before they shoot we could possibly add them to our group. Share items, offer protection to eachother, and what not. But the longer you wait for things to die down, the better chance you have.

Also, I forgot to say, it's a 12 gauge mossberg and a cat 9 pistol.

Especially since you're actually taking steps to prepare now, rather than post-SHTF. That's great initiative. However, I would still be a bit wary of other people, especially in the intial stages. After things have died down, maybe, but I'd try to stay away if possible. Do you find this valuable? |
